I like how Billy's friends are calling Dan fat. Yeah....Billy is slender.

Ive actually dropped 20 pounds since that vid was made last winter.

It was the off season eh ...

Billy looks like he's a bypass in waiting.

If he smokes, its gonna be over fast.

This was july.

My playing is no worse or better than anyone else.

I have no desire to be some sort of "rock star", i grew up since the 80's and don't like any movies, music or TV past 1990.

I have a life and enjoy nice things.

I don't let peoples opinion of me rent space in my head, its none of my bidness.

If people have a problem with me thats their problem and not mine.

I never heard of Himmell til the blades video have no opinion either way.

Neither good or bad, just is.

One things for sure i don't endorse Himmell, or blades and are telling people not to buy into their shit.

Good products sell themselves, they dont need production videos.

I gotta say though, Im actually surprisingly blown away by the tone on that amp. Could it be that Billy Blades is an honest to god amp builder? hell has frozen over.

Yeah, that last vid totally nailed the vh atomic punk tone. I don't get the need for some to attack and bash a new member just because he plays and seems to really dig his blades firebolt amp. Even if the blades amps are exact clones of Cameron Jose and Aldrich models, to me that's even more of a bonus as long as they sound like the originals which from mikes vids , sound great. I don't care much for the cosmetics or the way the chassis is bent but there's so much brand loyalty fanboy shit around here its terrible. If something isn't $4000 then it's just impossible to make music with it.

That video was very telling of charveldans.. I didn't join this forum to get into a hatefest, I cannot understand why this guy charveldan attacked me? Perhaps he had a run in with somebody and had a bad day? This is the very reason a lot of my colleagues don't join forums, unprovoked insults and rants aren't a lure to folks who just want to make some new friends and talk about gear. I apologize for losing my cool yesterday and lashing back, gotta keep it pro.

Dude stop buying gear and spend $50 on a metronome. Buying a $3K+ amp will not fix bad technique or bad timing. If you are squeezing shit thru a horn that's what it will sound like regardless if the horn is made out of tin or gold.

Remember the scene from the movie "What Dreams May Come" where the husband goes to into hell to save his wife? He was told not to spend more than three minutes with his wife, or she would drag him down with her... That's the best analogy I can come up with to describe the "vibe" on Rig Talk.

If you're not extremely careful, you can easily lose yourself here. Most of RT's trouble makers are no-talant hacks who are pissed-off because their rock and roll dreams turned-out to be rock and roll delusions. Not everyone is EVH. I know alot of people who are not crazy good but love nice gear and tone.
