Custom C5 bridge and Jazz neck

See, I think the BBQ would be really good in a Custom, as Customs allways seam brighter than Standard LP's. But I'm worried it might not be bright enough in my guitar. I played a BBQ in an all Korina Hamer and LOVED it! I mean.....loved it!SgtThump":ff7e5 said:The best sounding bridge pickups I've had in my Les Pauls are:
Rio Grande BBQ (currently have this in my '71 LP Custom)
BurstBucker 2 (came stock in my R8 and it sounds killer)
Duncan Custom
YMMV

Yes, I have thought about them, but they're higher output than I want.tnourse":1ced4 said:Duke of Metal":1ced4 said:Cant go wrong with a Duncan Distortion in a Lespaul's bridge.
Duncan Distortions are my favorite!
JB - Have you thought about a Suhr Aldrich in your LP?? You liked them in the PRS correct??
That guitar kicks ass doesn't it? Oh, by the way, I saw the back plate sitting here the other day.....sorry about that. I'll try and remember to send it to you.fritzreiser":02c55 said:+1 to the Suhr Aldrich. Those things sound fabulous in the PRS that you sold me.
I bet if you ohmed that out, the resitance would be a lot lowwer than the new production ones. I talked to Mark Cameron about this. He has an old one that ohms out at around 9k, where the new ones are what......14k or something?TWPietz37":568db said:Maybe I'm just nuts, but I have an old JB from the early 80's that I swear to god sounds better than the newer models. I've had it in the bridge of my LP for almost a year now and it sounds amazing.
