about 500 shipped from Japan....made in China though...yay or nay?
 
Or should I go for the Edwards model? I assume it's MIJ?

I've had 1 Edwards Sykes, MiJ from 99 and 2 MiJ Greco Sykes from 83-84. The Greco was identical in weight, feel and tone to a nice LP Standard. The Edwards was good too but didn't feel like an LP the way the Grecos did. Haven't had a Burny to compare though.
 
I just bought a Greco JS and it’s a great guitar. Feels like a good, old LP should, and much better than any Edwards I’ve had.

I had an ltd ec-1000ctm...Just did not feel the same at all. nice....just different.
 
You’re much better off looking for a Greco Mint Series EGC-600. If you’re patient, around 750-800. They have a long neck tenon and nice and heavy, no weight relief. Here’s my 86.
