I hate to say it but if you guys ae really looking to stop this behavior stop buying the amps!

There are plenty of other modded marshalls around.

The other option is to reverse one that exists already and get over this, nothing in there will be revolutionary. I bet it has tubes, caps and resistors...

If his amps broke, nobody would want one or buy one.

A tube socket is simple to change (as you know). It's not as if Mark changes the entire design. He mods a set design (like Marshall)...so as I said above, any competent tech that knows amp should be able to fix an amp...with or without goop.

You dont sell your car for fear it will break do you? If it does break do you take it solely to the dealer where you bought it or do you take it to a competent tech?

Right now I take my vehicle right to the dealer.It's under warranty.Are you saying that if the wah I built you breaks,you will have someone else fix it?

I guess it depends on what the goop actually is. Wizard's goop may be different from Cameron's.

Another 50 CCV's on the market and they will be like everything else, and worth about 50 cents on the dollar. I think his Marshall mods, specifically the Ocean runs circles around the CCV as far as quality tone. No interest in the super-duper high gain Jose as it gets old quick to me and makes my ears really sore and gives me the urge to projectile vomit and break stuff. Of course, this is only my opinion. Like an asshole, everybody's got one.

No dog in the race - I sold my Cameron - loved the tone but feared any issue with future support/repair due to the goop.. but that is the right thing to do Brad!

Goop is used not to hide custom circuit mods - but to hide the fact that the mods have been copied from an amp with no goop on them. Anyone who would hand-over $3K for an amp with a gooped pcb need to check themselves into Bellview!

I dont doubt that theres some guys out there that Mark owes big but seriously this place can give someone whiplash, fucking turn coat city. Mark sounds like he is a pretty messed up dude ...too bad .as other have said he should just sell the designs to peavey or something rake in the dough and get his life back together

Ummm - not sure what you mean.. mine cost me $1800 when I got it, and I think I broke even when I sold... don't care if/what it was coppied from - it sounded great. I just did not want to have any hassles down the line IF it failed. Well - it worked - i no longer have to worry about it.
If Brad steps in and gets these coming out on a regular basis - I may take the plunge depending on price. If not, there is Voodoo, Friedman, Fortin, Bray, FJA, Suhr... no sweat.
I hope all involved get it resolved.
