but in caparison's defense, I also believe other smaller superstrat companies (Surh, Anderson etc...) are also extremely overpriced.

I don't see any other companies using sponge finishes? Nobody makes a faux marble finish on any production models. I'd also like to see you even attempt to make a half decent looking sponge finish. Itaru won't do a quilt or flame top on the Horus or Dellinger because he doesn't think the body is thick enough. Caparison is doing a ton of interesting and cool stuff, you just have some kind of vendetta against them for some reason.

Maybe not now but there were alot of companies that did at one point. and yeah, with a little practice I could definitely do that.

If theyre doing a ton of cool and interesting stuff, where is it? show me. I have no vendetta whatsoever against them, I just fail to see what makes them special when compared to all the other offerings out there.

I don't have to show you, if I do you're blind. It's blatantly obvious just looking at one of their guitars. Headstock, finishes, clock inlays, their own custom wound pickups, etc.

aside from their pickups( which aint revolutionary) the "cool and interesting " stuff to you isnt more than aesthetics and no offense,they arent that cool or interesting. Its nothing more than a superstrat and If you cant see that, youre the one thats blind..

Ive played them before; The horus, Dellinger, TAT and I think an angelus. all good playing well constructed guitars. That said, Ive played comprably priced Ibanezes, Esp's and Jackson that were every bit as good if not better. If you take their prices into consideration( the ones you listed) I can go to GMW and order a guitar built and finished to my specs and get a custom instrument the way I want it for the same( or damn close)..

If you like them, thats great, Im not knocking them. Just dont try to make them out to be more than what they are; just another flavor of superstrat and nothing else...

congrats on the new guitar mark.

Can't say I like the looks. I am generally not big on electric guitar natural wood finishes (Acoustic are a different story). With the body being natural color and the pickups placed the way they are with no trim the guitar looks unfinished to me, like a prototype. Hopefully it plays well though, that is all that truly matters

The criteria is different but it's still the same, a subjective opinion.
