I love these speakers with my 5153 and marshall 2555, i think it sounds awesome and i only wished i bought my evh cab sooner. With Most amps these speakers sound pretty decent. I aboslutely hated them with my herbert and its not my first choice when using my uberschall but pretty much all my other amps sound nice.

Being 15 ohms, could you mix 2 EVH's with 2 16 ohm Greenbacks without frying anything?

Wrong..this is straight off the Celestion website: The Heritage Series G12M faithfully reproduces the sonic qualities of the original ’60s version Greenback used to make EVH tone from day one.

All the Heritage speakers are all made in England.

Wrong. It says made in England right on the speaker. At least on mine.

Street Rod woeks great with EVH speakers. Shiva V30's all the way.

The Bogner Shiva, PWE and Splawn should all kill with a quad of heritage Greens.

Were they always Chinese made or did they recently switch the evh speakers?

Believe what you want...Go to ebay "new in the box G12EVH Celestion speaker" check out the specs at the end it said "made in china".......

I'm sorry, but both my ears and the mic used to record the cabinet can't read were the speaker I'm using are made.
I thought they were stupid, but they're always happy with the tone coming out of the speakers.
So I won't argue with them... I'm happy too!

My buddy just bought 2 brand new EVH celestions and they say made in England right on the sticker on the side of the speaker but they also have the standard speaker blade terminals I have a quad of EVH Celestions with the old style hook terminals that don't have anything on them. At the 150 price point you would assume they are Chinese as Eddie need his cut off the top. To me they have the best greenback tone out of the current Celestions.

Mine are the old style and say made in England on them.

Where are you finding these? I don't see 'em listed on Celestion's site.

The new EVH Celestions are the exact same thing as the new Heritage Greenbacks. That was confirmed for me by Celestion and several dealers, but they are cheaper. I talked to a few dealers and they will get me the standard Heritage G12Ms for a better price - $130 a piece or the EVH for $130 a piece! However, after comparing side by side in a friend's studio and listening to clips and talking to friends, the standard reissue, cheaper Greenbacks are the best sounding, best bass, warmest mids and best highs and certainly best for anything with gain! In this case, cheapest is best!

That's because Celestion recently started making the Heritage G12M's and I assume all the heritage speakers with the standard blade terminals..since the EVH is a relabeled Heritage G12M it follows that the EVH's will start showing up that way. Good move IMO..allways hated those old hook terminals. Read this thread..particularly post number 4: https://www.thegearpage.net/board/showth ... =terminals
