Eric has a good point.

Even on his beloved Suhr guitar, that Gotoh bridge is made in japan.

:D

If it looks good, sounds good and the service is good, then fuck it,it is good!!!!!!!!!!!!!No questions asked but when one fails then..............................................................

The real question is components. If the exact same components are used and its only the labor that is outsourced, then Im in agreement that it doesnt matter where its made. The fact that the Bogner Alchemist sucks is probably not because its a bad design. I bet if Reinhold built that amp in CA using MM transformers and the best components it would sound fantastic. And thats not because I think Reinhold is great at soldering. The amp sucks because corners other than labor are being cut to meet a price point. The Rebel, Renegade, etc all sound fantastic. They are totally a cut above the Alchemist. But lets be honest, they dont sound like a MOD 50. And that is not USA elitest, biased bullshit. Anyone who has heard both can attest to this. And I dont think its only the labor that is causing the difference. I doubt these amps sell for less than half of the price of the MOD 50 just because of labor. Great parts are expensive. I dont think they are using Heyboer trannys and the other hand selected components of the MOD 50. In summary, if the modular line is outsourced I would not expect the same sonic quality of the USA line. The modules will probably sound close, but the MOD 50 and 100 Id expect to sound quite different.

I totally agree with you man! .
I couldn't have said it better!

Well put.

I come from the "if it sounds good, it is good" ilk, but, to me, the modular stuff is definitely superior (tonally, that is) to the non-modular stuff. I don't care where it's made, it's just better.

I think Bruce is smart enough to know not to fix something that ain't broke.

Boss pedals...Made in Japan, Rat2 made in China , many Ibanez and Maxon effects made in china. So look at your rig... im sure there are products from other countries and u like or at least use them.

I hade an Ibanez DM1100 rack delay that was one of the warmest delays, made in china and i miss that one.

All my TC electronics not made in america.
Pretty sure ALL MIJ Boss production stopped in the mid 90's.

They are made in Taiwan, and guess what.............They sound just as good IMO.

(actuallly, my MIT OD2 sounds better than my MIJ OD2)
