I can’t respect bands who do big retirement tours then change their minds and just carry on as if their final tour meant nothing. Unfortunately Scorpions can join KISS and Motley Crue in that respect. Even Judas Priest pulled some crap like that over 10 years ago.

Well, I’m sure most of us like with Priest, Motley and The Scorps tuned out their careers after 1984 (Crue in ‘89) anyway so what these old shadows of former glory do isn’t even a blip on my radar. The only band that kept at it that had my respect, because they still were raw and loud live and were doing decent albums was Motörhead. I like this show because Matt acquits himself pretty well playing the Uli songs.

Well, if the Scorpions transitioned in 1979 we’d have:

Claudia Meine
Judy Schenker
Matilda Jabs
Francine Buchholz
Herwoman Rarebell
Just livin’ their truth bro!

…..missed a prime choice of Hermoine Rarebell…lol or Hermoine Rareballs.

Yes and don't forget Rush

The Scorpions were (are) one of the few bands that sound as good as the studio recordings or better.
Bands like Korn, Limp Bizkit, SOAD or FFDP are pretty much Train wrecks live .... and considering how simplistic that music is, those bands are living examples of why Metal is in its current state of decline of musicianship in Rock / Metal .

I saw them I'm 91' and they just killed! I moved to Germany in 85' and have such fond memories of the Scorpions songs.

The scorpions continued to be great live for many years. There’s just not one album after Love at First Sting I care for though…😞
