I've been writing chord progressions that force me to get away from the pentatonic minor scale, and work with different intervals.
The one I posted today was a collaboration with a guy on another site where he had written a similar type of progression and it made it a real challenge to play within the harmonic minor/Hungarian minor scales that fit that track.
The song itself makes me want to smash the mirror off a tesla/subaru/prius while I ride past them on my motorcycle and then deny that it was me later at the gas station. When the driver finally gets to a boiling point I have them take a listen, and they proceed to smash the other mirror off. They end up trading it in for a motorcycle, but get into an accident on their first ride out. Luckily they were listening to this song when the paramedic hears it. He never slows down at an intersection, again.
...I'm also twenty years old in this music video.
