True, just not seem like a coincidence since so many gigs they have the green lit mesa's. So who knows? Wish they would address that for fanbois like me ;)
 
Duder, it's not many gigs...maybe a couple since 2004, and they played a load of gigs since then...

Yeah I know, and I have seen the Mesa's still there are a bunch of 2008 Bootleg shows I have ;)

Sorry my bad early and typed to fast. What I am saying is I have a bunch of 2008 bootleg DVD's and you see the boogies still.
 
Mesa does not do *paid* endorsements. I know for a fact for instance (from talking to him and his tech about this) that John Petrucci actually buys all the Mesa amps and cabs he uses in Dream Theater - he promotes the amps and they promote him, but there's no free amps happening or anything like that. They will sometimes do special things for him like making the cabs he had on the Octavarium tour that had grilles painted to look like pieces of the album art. Everything I've ever heard about it says that artists buy the amps from Mesa just like any customer, highly doubt it's any different with Metallica.
 
then what's the pint in "promoting" the amps?

I dunno I have so many 08 Bootlegs I got off torrents and I am not about to go up stairs and look up all the show dates etc just to prove a silly point.
