Here in Germany, a new mesa recto cab is even a little bit more expensive than a new fl diezel cab.
While that's weird :), it is how the economy works.
Save more and eventually you'll get there. I've opened the funds for VH4, already (must add a separate for Schmidt ;/). With the pace I am saving - it will take a little while, but I am always open for donations :)  (or extreme discounts :) )...

As everything costs more today then it did yesterday, last week, last month, last year, etc., and as Diezel amps are so hand intensive in the building, it is only natural that they cost what they do.

Do not blame the company for this. This is happening all over the world in every aspect of our existance.

If you desire a piece(s) of gear, it will be less expensive to purchase it now then later, if that is possible for you.

If you are lucky enough to own multiple guitars, amps, whatever, and you have a desire for something newer, or different, you might consider parting with some other gear which you have amassed over time for the newer gear you desire. It can be easier to do then you think, if you think about it and find that some of the gear is just sitting there and that you really find that you don't use it, as you once may have thought.

I don't speak German. what did he say??

Peter said i should calm down. It´s only for the US.

And i said that i´ll never sell my stuff. Only buy some extra Diezel gear. So if prices would drop (in germany) it would be better for me.

Only joking!

A German Retailer buys a Dual Rec at wholesale just like a U.S. Retailer, for the same price of around $1400 USD. Shipping to Germany, duties and Customs fees add about $400-500 at the most. So why does the DR cost $3700 there in Germany? If a German Retailer used the same mark-up percentage as a U.S. store then a DR in a German store should cost about $2700 USD...NOT $3700. This is why we dropped Dealers. Retail markup is about as good an investment as Enron.

It is because Dual Recs are in fact better amps....so they charge more.
