I'm trying to pick up the differences between the two amps you used. The left channel (Marshall) has this 'woody', (almost merging on mud but not muddy to be boggy & cloudy) low mid sound, but is tight (doesn't flop around like a Recto).
The right channel (Diezel) is very deep and percussive in the low end, super chunky. It also projects a lot of the crunchy top end sizzle.
Great blend!
Did you add any effects at all to the right channel signal path? I don't know if it's just me but I hear this very slight, but yet sort of "enveloping" sound like the sound is swirling around within itself. It's not a "processed" sound at all, and can only really be heard when hearing the right channel in isolation. It's great whatever it is!
Same exact setup for both amps...same mic same pedal chain ect.
I even used the same speaker, with same mic positioning.
I wanted to make it sound as natural as possible.
Sounds great man. I love it.
My analysis of the two different sounds is just to work out how they blend together. This seriously is the best replication I've ever heard, and I have been literally just feet away from Adam cranking through his SuperBass & Diezel.
What was your mic positioning to capture it as natural as possible, without any boxiness?
