Oh bummer that you are having to ship the footswitch overseas. But regarding getting an additional footswitch, I always carry a spare when I gig. People are tromping over chords on the stage, therefore the footswitch cord could easily get shorted out at a gig. Bring 2 of whatever is needed to finish a gig. 2 guitars, 2 amps, extra cords, strings, batteries etc.
Since when is Canada considered "overseas?"

I am busy person and just read the gist of your post. Didn't catch the Canada part, but I caught the part of how you are making a mountain out of a mole hill with a little footswitch.
Sorry the deal was not the footswitch itself, it was the lack of response. Re-read my posts.
Sorry, but I couldn't help but respond to this. Not everyone can afford to have 2 of everything - I certainly can't - and for me, buying an $800 amp head was a big investment. It's all relative I suppose. So, I don't think this guy made a mountain out of a molehill here. The core issue was his frustration with the lack of communication on the manufacturer's part. It seems the problem has now been addressed by the man himself, which is something I've never seen any other manufacturer do, which is in and of itself a testament to Bruce's character
I agree. However I alway bring a 2nd amp in case of a breakdown. I am not going to bring 2 footswitches for each amp along with two amps, ain't happening and not necessary. I bring extra tubes, strings, cords, an extra amp and guitar. I'm covered.
I didn't mean to offend. I have been blessed with a good paying corporate america job and have not had to worry about money too much lately. Anyway, I won't retract my comment about needing 2 of everything if one is playing a professional gig. For instance, you can't play someone's wedding and then have your amp die on you without a replacement ready to go. Same goes for cords shorting out or guitar electronics losing their solder connections mid gig.
Hey it's happened! I too am blessed to be able to not have to worry too much about money - it certainly ain't the gigs paying the bills though! But at the same time I have to be conservative on what I carry with me. Just enough to back me up in the case of a failure.
