Dream Pedal Board

I don't know about dream, more like a nightmare sometimes, but I've been using this board for many years with pedals in and out. It's an evolution, but can always use advice. I'm a boost junkie, need a straight path in without going through ugly/too many buffers, prefer not using amp fx loops, and don't like gated fx.

First switcher on right
1-comp/rotovibe
2-gate/switcher on the left
3-phaser/trem, H9, Chorus
4-Delay, reverb.
-> out to amp

Left side switcher is all different boost loops, gated. The midi switch is used to change the loops and H9.

WOW! Massive!

The board that I built for @GuitarGuy08 as well as my other boards that I have built was built from pine. Many boards that you purchase do not utilize all available surface area. Also, many smaller boards only have three crossbars which can make it difficult to place your pedals properly. I have an example of two boards that I built. The first is what I call my white board. It is made up of JHS 3 Series pedals with a JHS Clover for a little boost and EQ When needed. The second is a view of another I built showing the four cross bars that hold almost any size pedal securely. The third is the same board that I am reinstalling pedals on.

My buddy @GuitarGuy08 can manage a board like that with ease. I like to keep things simple like my JHS 3 Series. Easy for an "Old Guy" to handle. LOL!!!
Hey man, nice work on the board!

I'm going to have to think about simplifying or...getting a bigger board, lol. I have stuff hanging on for dear life at this point.

I may only use about eight pedals on a board for myself but I have enough on the shelves in my guitar room to qualify as just as crazy as anyone and now, I have started building pedals.

I have three. Three is good.

Line 6 HX Effects
Line 6 Helix Floor
Fractal FM9 Mk II Turbo
Where do you go for hx preset files other than the official site? Do you make your own? I tried making a thread here and no one replied. I think line 6 is amazing.

I love the white board. It’s so uniform and clean.

Apparently it’s always going to get bigger. There are ppl who go technical and use an hx stomp to do most of everything that’s on a pedal board. Most minimalist boards have an hx stomp on them.

I make my own; I usually use the HX-Effects in 4CM, the effect paths are usually simple vs the Helix, and now FM9 which are more complex routing. I haven't had the FM9 very long, and not much time with it yet.
