Which pariah pickup would be good for a Gibson type guitar ? Going for mostly VH2 type tone and beyond. Not necessarily later VH but more hard rock in general.The Pariah White is excellent for VH I tones. The black is better for the later stuff. I have both
If you want VH I tones out of a Duncan a simple 59 works perfectly. So will one of the newer 78 models.it
My favorites are the Pariah 70s Destruction (which sounds like an older Dimarzio SD), the Pariah Black and a Duncan 59

I agree the 59 does a great job. I’ve got a WCR darkburst in a Les Paul that’s killer too. I bet the darkburst would hold its own in the VH shootout stuff especially if the guitar was on the bright side.

Jim's video on the DiMarzio SD vs. Super 70 sold me on the Super 70 for the pickup in the Destroyer.I think it was a short rough cast A5 - to me sounds like an unmodified late PAF. But glad you hear the same basic thing I do.
