Have you seen this prompt page when signing into Ebay recently within the last few months? Every time I sign into my ebay account there it is............

this shit is getting out of hand...
 
It does happen for me when signed into Google account on Chrome, not in incognito window, and not on Brave. Not seeing a way to turn it off in ebay account settings. Unless you want to dig into some customization, it's just another window to click past unfortunately.
 
Genuinely curious: What is your opposition to using biometrics? They are not storing an image of your finger print that some random person is going to steal and place all over a crime scene. That's just not how it works.

Seriously.. I use it for several accounts.. Don't know why people are freaking out over something that's to their benefit, security-wise.
 
It looks like basically just another "sign in with Google/Facebook/etc", but with Microsoft/Windows doing the authentication and it's supposedly handled entirely on your device like Face ID as @ners mentioned. Don't get me wrong, I don't plan on using it, but Ebay doesn't touch the data.

Seems like it's almost imminent now. Must have ID for reverb, ID for ebay. Digital ID's. Vaccine passports. Digital wallets. Digital money. The foundations are already laid, they just need to finish destroying the old system so they can make slaves out of everyone. They will tag us like cattle. If our elders were wise they would've seen through this scheme when they started taking census' and when they issued SS #'s turning you from a human into nothing more than a combination of digits in a ledger someplace. When you can't buy groceries or guitar strings without these things, who resists?
