Ebay would like your biometrics to sign in sometime in the future........

Also, anything 'Local' on a Windows based machine is not private. Just an FYI to anyone who didn't know.

It exists locally on your own device,
So the presumption is that your device is secure even from the people who manufactured it? That there are no back doors and your bio-data is completely 100 percent secure. That strikes me as not only naive but unlikely. Big corps make moves that are for their benefit, not yours.
I completely understand how the process works and am not spreading any misinformation. The only misinformation is assuming that if you have a device connected online whatsoever that you are 'anonymous'
I can barely turn on a windows operating system but I have played with HAM and CB equipment and was studying to take the test until covid happened. Basically, anything that uses radio frequencies to transmit and receive signals could be hacked by someone who knows what they are doing.

Used to be every big tube home radio was equipped with good shortwave and often police radio bands. So the authorities went to trunked systems, which would require special trunked monitoring equipment, and now to avoid monitoring they use some other digital encryption. But any and all RF encryption could theoretically be hacked with the right know how and equipment or quite possibly just someone who has the encryption key. All cell phones are at their root a handheld radio, it's all RF. I'm 100 percent certain that all bands are being monitored 24/7. Isn't that what location data is? *shrugs

Sounds close to 'The Sun will save us' to me lol

I meant the SON will save us, lol. It's only an idea but it is a likely event at some point in the future because CME's are happening and we have had more powerful ones in recent years. Play with radios and you will find atmospheric conditions def can lend a hand to or interfere with comms. When conditions are right you get the skip and can talk to someone thousands of miles away with a low watt CB radio and a decent hung di-pole antenna. It's also why guys still hang onto boat anchor tube radios. They are much more robust when it comes to EMF radiation so they are popular with the prepper set. They also sound great, imagine that, lol

Yeah, I phrased it that way as a word play, was hoping you'd catch it lol This convo could easily turn to something for the OTC, so I will stop myself here because I could get to ramblin
