ed passed a few years ago. his employees run the store and custom shop now.

Well now I feel bad...I just remember reading in harmony central back in the day stories...

Overpriced knock offs. Been there many times. Rude staff. Tried charging me $300 above retail for an RR5 because it had a "low serial number" ...

It's a frakking IMPORT!!!! Serial means nothing. All the gold hardware was tarnished. Bunch if bullshit.

I just went there in November and bought a Quicksilver. Best purchase I've ever made for my guitar playing. Service was excellent. Communication was excellent. Top marks in all regards. If you've never been there, then you don't know... I would definitely go and check them out.

In fact, PM me and I'll tell you my whole story if you want every single detail. I spent 3000 dollars and I've had nothing but great service from them. I play 5 nights a week with 5 1/2 hours of play time a night, first set is 3 1/2 hours long. So I play the hell out of my rig and my guitars. Needless to say, stuff breaks. And trust me, Ed Roman's customer service has been nothing but good to me.

Not exactly inviting :scared:

Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm PST (Pacific Standard Time)
Saturday and Sunday: Closed
We have closed our retail display & showrooms in order to concentrate fully on serious customers & internet sales. We do still have a showroom that is opened by appointment to pro musicians, collectors, serious & previous customers

To make an appointment please call us. We are available during our posted hours of operation.

We want people to call for an appointment and not just drop in. If you just drop in, be prepared to be turned away. It is rude to turn people away but we guarantee a wonderful shopping experience for the person who calls first

A few years back you had to also pay $100 just to see the showroom.
Ed's rant about too many tire kickers etc, said he demanded to be paid for his time if all you wanted to do is look.

I went there once in around 2005.

A little difficult to get to located off the strip on the other side of the freeway.

Largest selection of USA BC riches, and lot's of other unique guitars.
Also largest one off doubleneck guitar section.

Felt like being in a library, with 3 long haired burned out dudes just sitting on the otherside of the counter staring at you in a so quiet you could hear a pin drop store.

Had I even wanted to try out a guitar, there were virtually only a few amps in the store to do so.

Sure Ed Jr....sure....

I went to his old compound in CT yrs ago when he was alive. He ripped off my friend and was a dick in person. I wouldn't trust his staff now operating under his name. His largest collection of BC Rich were pieces he assembled from parts that he bought from old stock. I am pretty sure none were legit. He even discusses it somewhere on his old site. He did a lot of shit like that. Why would you feel bad that he died? He was a piece of shit in life and had no problems ripping off everyone he met. When I went there he purposely separated me from my friend because he knew that I knew what I was talking about so that he could rip him off. This was back when he retopped guitars and my friend wanted his original '86(?) PRS retopped. Thank God Ed wanted way too much for that and just managed to talk him into a refin. In any case, he did a shit refin and then stole his trem and replaced it with an inferior one. Just so you know he sells the original PRS trems for a ridiculous amount of money and touts their superiority. Fuck him and his staff.

Just Google the dude. How anyone could want to give him their money is beyond me. But I'm sure rdizzle will disagree. Him and his 2 posts.

Not a fan.
Met him years ago, and he was just not a very nice human being. It went beyond him just having a bad day, like he felt "entitled" to be paid top dollar for his presence in the room and his pieced together scrap guitars.

They want u to call first before a visit so they can stash the CRACK ...

Years ago when I was on HC, I was looking into buying a guitar from that store. After going to the website, I realized it was a bad idea. Seemed more like a "look who I've met and why you should bow to me" kind of feel. I'm sure if you have a lot of money and play in a band it is a great experience because you can buy without being recognized and have the store to yourself.

+1. Went there a few years ago and got to check out some vintage Les Paul Jr's. Staff was cool and they had some nice vintage guitars and amps there. Only regret was not plugging into the Satellites they had there. GC was in the same parking lot so you could hit that too.

About 12 years ago, I was in Vegas and stopped by. I walked in and said that I visit their website often, and wanted to stop in. The guy at the front said "well...if you go to the site often, you should have seen that we prefer that you call first!" He came across as a real dick. There was a guy there who gave me a tour, but after about 2 minutes he said "are you going to buy something today?" Very pushy. If I came across the right guitar I might have. I have no desire to go back. A buddy of mine who lives in LV just had a guitar built by them...I'm going to ask how the experience was.
