hi
this my first post, just got my tweaker plugged everything in turned it on and cool tones then plugged in my pedal board to the effects loop and it turned to crap sound muffled and as if it was clipping somehow tried the boss delay on its own no different, have emailed egnater twice and have had no reply can any one here help as it stands now i will have to get rid of the tweaker as i have no problems with my pedal board with my other amps...

please can someone tell me what's going on????

many thanks....

You're only running time-based effects through the loop, not overdrives or distortion, right?

you are correct, even without the loop being used i have the bright switch on and the treble all the way up and there is hardly any top end??

Something is overloading on the pedal board. What pedals are you using? Does it do it with all pedals switched out? What amps does your pedal work with in the loop? Does the problem stop if you turn the gain down on the Tweaker?

the other amps that work fine with my pedal board are 5150,carvin legacy and a blackstar ht-5h,the only effects running through the loop are boss delay, isp decimator and a mxr 10 band eq but i have tried just the delay through the loop same thing happens even with the gain at 12:00 and on a clean sound...hope this helps..

I had the same problem.....it's why I returned the amp...Egnater didn't have an answer for me. This doesn't happen with my Rebel 30.....only the Tweaker.

Sad because I really liked the amp

Last question, please. Do all three pedals have the problem if you plug them in one at a time?

hi
Bruce yes they do all have the same effect one at a time,on a side note i checked the power tubes and they are stuffed they were black inside and hair line fractures in the tube glass so i popped in some new tubes thinking this will be the fix but no change to the loop problem......

My tone is also darkened quite a bit when putting my newly acquired Carbon Copy Delay in the loop. It is the first time I've really tried the loop. I am gigging it tonight, but will try other pedals through it and see if there is a difference.

It did this with a Carbon Copy, an Aqua Puss and a Hardwire Delay. I ran them individually in the loop and all three sounded as if I put a blanket over the amp. Really frustrating  because I liked the amp a lot.

same here, no problems with the same pedals in the renegades loop. I sent my tweaker back-has to jive with the carbon copy or you're outta here.

Yep....if it gets resolved I will buy another one!

 had enough of this not one email from egnater support, no answers it's going back and never shop egnater again.. ............

I am working on it. Did not forget you. Fact is I was looking into it with my Tweaker when John called from the Nashville NAMM show. He needed me to send it to him overnight for a show so I did not get to complete my testing. Your post on Thursday was the first I've heard of this problem and I got right on it. I have my other tweakers at the shop but could not work on it on Friday (one day after your post). I've gathered an array of various pedals but have not completed my testing yet. The NAMM show is this week and it is the weekend right now. Our customer service department may not answer emails this weekend. Where and when did you send your email requests? I thought I was being responsive to you but........I just don't have the answer yet.

Bruce, if you have a mxr carbon copy-try it-its a popular pedal and it sounds like complete arse in the tweaker loop, but the carbon copy sounds great through the renegade.

That is one in the group of pedals I will check. My point was that I need a little more time than a couple of days to solve problems. Sometimes I feel that Egnater gets beat up quicker than other companies when something goes wrong. I/we are far from perfect and I do take the digs and attacks quite personal. Egnater is not a big corporation that doesn't care about you. Egnater is me and a few other people and we all work way too hard to not take things to heart. I'm not whining but I do feel that comments are often made that people don't realize can be hurtful to others. I understand the nature of these forums is to be able to state opinions in an essentially anonymous fashion and I need to be tougher and just suck it up. What I see as a little unfair is when Egnater has an issue, we suck, we don't respond quick enough, we make junk....etc..etc.. If Marshall or Fender has a problem with something, it hardly gets mentioned. How many people own Fender HotRod Devilles or HotRod Deluxes, and how many of those had the jacks break off the boards?? Probably 80%. Does everyone go on the forums and bad mouth Fender for making crap and not calling them back within a day or two....I don't think so. Sorry for the rant but you must try to put yourself in my position. This is my life and I put 110% into it everyday, 7 days a week. When people come along who really have no idea what it's like to run a small business, and make comments about things they know nothing about, I just get a little frustrated. I do read all these things and we discuss the issues you bring up everyday. We are working on the reverb issues, though at this moment it is still a little random in the field. The Tweaker loop issue is new and now we jump all over that. I assume you have seen how aggressively we responded to problems in the past even though the solutions do not always appear overnight.

hey Bruce, I dont buy fender or korgs-I mean Marshalls - just Egnater. Love the amps myself,
I only use usually a carbon copy, and it really was unusable in the tweaker. Now, if you made tubes, we might bash you. But you're right, some people here seem to get testy quick, probably because you make somewhat affordable amps that sound great-and when something arises, a little panic sets in.
