So ... has anything be changed to the Tweaker loop circuit or are there still issues with too hot signal for certain pedal effects?
The Egnater Looper gadget.
You can use it to place pedals in the loop if there is a particular pedal that is causing problems. I know everyone wants all their equipment to place nice with each other, but I really don't get people are surprise when a pedal meant for instrument level doesn't work well in a line level loop. Now if you put a line level rack effect and it was still too hot, then that would be a valid concern.
I hope me saying this doesn't cause a flame war, because it's not meant to, but I have to echo what Bruce nearly a year ago because he took the words right out of my mouth. Actually, I think I said something pretty similar a few months ago without ever having seen this post. They're a small operation, and I'd rather have guaranteed support of actual creator of the product actually trying to solve my problem who is genuinely concerned, rather than get a rapid automated email saying "thanks for letting us know but really nothing is going change" in a round about way. (for the record, I've always had OUTSTANDING customer service from them!).
If stuff has reliability issues or keeps on breaking, that's one thing. But pedals in line level situations are a well known potential problem. Sure, some amps and pedal combinations don't cause it, but others do and it's not unexpected. Bruce recognized this was a concern for a lot of people, and is why he made the loop gadget.
So the real point of this: if you're having problems with pedals in the loop, find a way to dampen down the signal goign to the pedal and then revamp it back up. This applies to any amp/pedal combination, not just Egnaters. The Egnater looper gadget is just one way of doing that
