Funny you should ask.I have 100Wtt Einy.Been going crazy with my custom built 2x12 for 6 mos.I was running a V30 and an alnico hempcone in it.The V30 was ice pickn and overpowering.I just got a ceramic hemp cone.It manes a great combo I.M.O.You get that snarl of old school metal and the ceramic gives you the much needed bass.Together it's awesome.Just my opinion, good luck.

Does anyone know how much the Diezel cabs weigh? I've seen the 2x12 rear loaded at Thomman online store and they seem huge!!!

I have the 2x12 RL. Unfortunately, I can't help you with any exact measurements. However, this is an oversized cab just like the Bogner. So it's somewhere between a normal 2x12 and a 4x12. The Diezel cab is still comparatively light for its size. I had no problems transporting it. The Orange PPC 2x12 I used to have was heavier and bulkier. I find the Diezel really compact for its size.

The front loaded cabs are going to be very directional, as that is the nature of a FL cab.

I must be on a different plane of existence, I could swear - en masse - that FL's are more unidirectional (read: spatial) than RL cabs. Am I the only one that thinks this?? I had a RL4x12 and it was great in front and a few degrees left or right, but other than that, it was just this muffled dull sound. I open up my FL4x12 and it's bouncing all over the room - no lies - just wonderin'

I'm with ya man. My FL cab is WAY more spatial and evenly distributes the sound in a room/stage compared to my RL cabs. THink about it from a side view perspective:

RL cabs--the speakers are behind the baffle or area where the soundwaves exit the cab. The sound has to travel through the cab before exiting, therefore it follows the box shape of the cab and is pointed forward when it exits.

FL cabs--The speakers are at the front of the cab or baffle, therefore the soundwaves don't have to travel through the cab and are dispersed omnidirectionally and cover a lot more space.

I think you guys are mistaken... Your description is confusing me. Unidirectional means moving in one direction only. That's the opposite of what FL cabs do in my opinion.

Sorry, I meant omnidirectional. I can stand anywhere in the room and my FL cab sounds the same.

With the RL the bass frequencies get lost the further I move from the cab and it becomes very harsh in certain areas. The only RL cab I've used that doesn't do this is the Mesa Stiletto (traditional) cab. Seems to sound great everywhere.

The only other cab I can get is a Bogner OS 2x12 or the Mesa Recto 2x12.

The Bogner is more expensive but I heard such great things about that cab that I might go for it...

I like both the Mesa 212 (I own one) and the Bogner OS. I'd take the Bogner.

I've got 2 almost brand new ceramic Hempcones 16 ohm in their original boxes and 2 Diezel Eminence speakers for sale if anyone is interested. I also may consider selling one of my two Diezel rear loaded 2x12 cabs if the price was right. PM me if interested. Thanks, Bob
