Well, I was thinking about these in my Metro. But maybe they'll be good in my Diezel instead? I could try 'em in my Metro, but anybody know how they handle high plate voltages? I know the SED can take 500V no problem.

These are rated to handle much higher plate voltage and screen current than any EL34. That's one of the reasons I like them as well as besides how good they soundFourT6and2":1gh8ccbs said:Well, I was thinking about these in my Metro. But maybe they'll be good in my Diezel instead? I thought they were 30 watts. Good to know. Last I spoke with Tyler he didn't have a spec sheet on them.psychodave":2vrqbkfe said:glip22":2vrqbkfe said:No. Not even close. Very different from Winged C's in many ways. Much different lows, highs and mids. It's explained above. More power as well as these are 30 watt tubes as oppossed to 25 like the Winged C. Your amp will put out approximately 20 watts more give or take. Chunkier mids. Tighter bass, and a sweeter high end. More complex and dimensional.Devilinside":2vrqbkfe said:I've got winged c 34's in my bones so would these basically be just side stepping with these?
FYI... the tubes are 25 watts, not 30. I asked Tyler last night and he confirmed off of the spec sheet.

Not yet.
I did get in a bunch of preamp tubes though.

States is no big deal...just allows more people to possibly knock my block off ...I actually hope I knock someone elses block off. My daughter keeps praying "dear god, please don't let my daddy hurt anyone"

So far I only tried them in a JCM800. They sounded better than the Winged C's. Next up is the CCV. I have to send them back by Monday.
Should be out for delivery today. They tested great per Tyler.JTyson":26uncgfb said:I'm on deck

Cool! They are great to deal with. Chelsea is as nice as they come. Tyler is like allot of us when it comes to tubes and gear. He will spend days testing tubes and his knowledge is ridiculous. I could spend two hours on the phone with him.JTyson":2fzng9zc said:Just got hm from work and they are here, I gotta get some things in order to try them out, think I'll try them in the Friedman-Metro Plexi first, then the Langner Marshall
Will report back ASAP
I'm STOKED!! Really cool of Tyler to do this for us, his wife was cool on the phone. They seem like good folks to deal with
