FAVORITE EGNATER MODULES........

Ok, I just got my MOD 50 head a few days back. I am not new to the MTS systems,I had a Randall Lynch Box that I just sold and had plenty of Egnater modules in the past but never could access the 2nd channel on the dual moduals.
Anyhow......just got in from a LONG jam session and right now the:

SL2 - CHANNEL B
IS BY FAR my favorite!! That thing smokes! I had the SL2 in the past but like mentioned, couldnt get it into 2nd gear!!

I also have the Erect Dual channel and the EG4 Single channel and the HIGH GAIN Single channel but have yet to stop playing that SL2!!
Anyone else wanna piggy back on this topic?

I love them ALLLLLLLLLLL!!!!The SLB channel is almost like My A I was stuck in the EG/5 mode with the new toyz Wade sent!!!!!,Wade your are a pickup GOD brotha!!!!!!!Everytime I fire up the Eggs I still feel like it's new

Now.........just got back in from MORE playing.......that EG4 is giving the SL2 Channel B a RUN FOR ITS MONEY!!!

The SL2 does kill. B side really smokes it big time. I probably love that one myself the best.

Yeah that Sl2 channel B is just so CUTTING!! Really great distortion that dont get "lost" in the mix. Looking to score a EG5 if you know anyone that wants to part with theirs.
I know that will NEVER happen!!

I took the EG/5,SL2 and seminar head to a buddies and hes got an Orange Rocker and man it was not pretty,but those two modules sit in nice and cut like BUTTA in a mix,probably the best 2 tones

Thats what I think I will whittle it down to. Those 2 modules. EG5 and SL2.
Everything else is just extra!!

EG3/4.....just sounds so good on both channels...dark, smooth and such awesome tone...yet it still brings the rock for rhythm on Ch A and leads to die for on Ch B

FWIW. the SL2 module is my favorite high gain module to date.

I bought a SL2B single channel when I downgraded to the RM50 and it still makes the hair stand on the back of my neck when I play it.

I just have the single EG4 and its REALLY a sweet tone. I never understood when people told me it was "Darker" then the SL2, but now after playing it, thats about the only way to describe it!
Not quite Metal.......but it can hang with some thrashing riffs. Sounds to me like what the Randall BROWN module was trying to be. The EG4 nails that tone and THEN SOME!

EG4 is my favorite with the SL2 B channel a close 2nd. I also love the SL with a good boost in front of it for a slightly different flavor.

Yes.......been playing the EG4 more today and its climbing up the ranks as one of my all Fav's!! Guess it took a little tweaking and getting used to. Definitley a tone all its own!
