Peterson Strobo and Boss TU3 Waza. Both have excellent buffers built in eliminating the need for a buffer pedal.
I wouldn't say that..... as you sometimes may need more buffers here or there and they don't just make everything sound the same or are all the same quality or exactly the same as one another......

Different buffers affect tone and in general you may also need more than one as said IME....

Otherwise we would all be using Radio Shack cables and be better off for it.....but yeah.

I really like the strobostomp tuners. Easy to see when you're on stage, and they just illustrate where you're at tuning-wise really well.

Plus you ain't getting Ridley Scott/Alien/Weyland Corp aesthetic anywhere else relative to a Sonic Research Turbo Stomp...... or that Weyland Corp quality build and design *_*

I don't necessarily disagree, if someone is running a ton of cable possibly yes but I personally have never had the need for more than one buffer.

Not a ton of cable sometimes but just a ton of pedals.

If you have like say 3-5 one buffered pedal may be more than enough but sometimes when your running 7-8 or more like 10-13 or more one finds that sometimes one buffer isn't enough....... and quality matters.

That being said the Waza buffers are damn good quality and a pretty good reason to get the tuners just for that alone and the true bypass option depending on rig and board IMO.

Honestly aside from the great tuning I'd consider the Waza Tuner over many others even though I'm happy with my Turbo Tuner just based off the great buffers alone.

Not a Waza Tuner but an example of how transparent and "organic" the Waza buffers are not really affecting the signal or doing much of anything other than keeping it strong and healthy. Here using some Sommer LLX cables and some of the lowest capacitance cables on the market to compare Waza buffer vs going straight into the amp.

I use the Peterson on my midi board, the switcher has a mute so the tuner is basically always on. On my smaller non midi board I use the Waza, really I use it for three things, tuning, the buffer and a mute. Since I do not use a gate, having a mute for me is priority. The Peterson has a tad bit of latency in the on/off, the Boss obviously does not. Plus nobody in my opinion has ever beaten the Boss footswitch/pedal design, it's about as perfect as you can get.

Anyone know what Sonic Research is up to? Haven’t seen their tuners in ages here in Europe…
