Fokker mixed reviews ??

Well.... Thanks everybody for the info this week. I broke down and got the Fokker . Hopefully this thing totally Fokkers me over!!!!

made this vid 30 seconds after unboxing and connecting cables - I had the gain at noon and was boosting, then turned gain down as this things has a lot of gain for sure.

wanted to just catch a clip to see how it sounded

Why do you need a pedal ?
Is there a need for an amp needing a pedal in front ?

Probably not, it's what I'm used to I guess. Lots of metal guys boost even the highest gain amps with a boost to change the attack. I probably could achieve a similar sound by backing off the deep knob and using master 2 to get a different attack. This amp is monsterous Peter, I think people will dig it. Boosting the clean channel is a whole different animal - gets some great bluesy SRV, AC/DC and Plexi type gain.

This clip was literally right after unboxing the amp and I have since found the amp to be a real pleasure to play, thanks Herr Diezel

Been playing it a few days now and it kicks ass. That 2nd channel is a flamethrower. I hooked it up to my sub cab and you can tell it just wanted to crack all the windows in the house. Even though i dont have another to compare it too, now i know what that diezel sound. Thanks for all the info, im totally digging it !!!

I haven't played the Fokker (yet) but comparing Diezel to Friedman is like comparing apples to, um, bacon.

The feel of a Diezel and a Friedman (Marshall style) amp are very different as Mo said. Sure you can dial up 80's guitar tones or even much lower levels of gain to play a huge variety of rock music - but the Diezel is going to have that refined clarity and still punch you in the chest
