Face melting performance. Enjoy! Frank takes two solos on Crossroads and flat out vaporizes Clapton.

Yeah, I said it. And yeah, I mean it.

And his TONE? Sheesh! Those are early production DiMarzio Virtual Vintage pickups.

Just kick back and enjoy the flight...

Big Frank fan here but I think I dig Clapton's version better still. But both are killer. The live DVD he put out some years ago is badass if you d not have it and it is worth every penny. Poppy is my jam for sure. I can still remember getting his old live album out of the free bin at the used record store when I was in college. It knocked me for a loop when I heard it. So badass.

I always knew who he was but never really delved into his music much. Just the occasional damn this dude kills it. Then I actually got to speak to the legend and I have been listening to him daily since then. Dude is on another level…with a guitar or without a guitar. Awesome human being…

I got into Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush straight away. From 1973-74 or so.
Back then, we lived for shows like Don Kirshners Rock Concert, ABC's In Concert and Midnight Special.
In 1975, when I saw this, I was absolutely blown away. The guitar solo spoke to me that has influenced alot of my own style. Mostly the long sustained notes (bends) and fast repetitive licks. Check it out.

Guitar World - Frank Marino Audio pedals! (Any why he prefers solid state for a pedal platform.)

If you're allowed to share, how did you get to speak to him personally ?
