No side line. Nothing to do with Luxtone. It's a very limited run. Every year will be a different 4 guitars. All hand carved, no parts guitars here. 1 piece light bodies, nitro finish,Motor City Pickups and a setup to play like butter. Continue hating... :)

As in 4 models available or 4 guitars total each year?

:D

I don't care for the aesthetics of these guitars at all, but I'm sure they do play like butter and sound great. And I think it's damn cool that you post here and mix it up with us street urchins.

More pretentious, overpriced relic guitars... nothing of interest. I'm sure they're good and all but more of the same.
Ya, I'll take a Fender, a Marshall and a truck to haul them in for the same$.

I like this one!

I dunno.

That black tele was setup and played awesome.

Hade wade mcp black belts and sounded killer.

Hoekstra was playing the guitar in the demo room and didn't flub a note for 15 minutes.

I talked to Navarrette and he told me the luthier does not get any pre made necks and bodies like some other builders do but individually fabricates them by hand with a pin router.

I dunno if all that is true but those guitars sure feel nice in the hand and play incredibly well.

I didn't even ask how much the were gonna cost though!

Cool review. How do those black belts handle higher/gain heavier rock? Bet they sounded killer through Daves amps

I dig the red T! You guys are a tough crowd.

One little suggestion- I think it'd tie the whole look in nicely if the little headstock shelf was either body color (red in the case of the red T) or pick guard color (white for the black guitar). Then make the logo chrome like the hardware.

I'm sure the guitars are probably really nice but they're just relic'd Strats and Teles like a gazillion other builders. Unless these are going to be more affordable or bring something new to the table, what's the point?

Just came across this...

Have to be honest...I dig that Tele. I really don't have any details on them beyond the pics.
I'd like to shit on these guitars.

 Hey some people are into that.

hoookaaayyyy fellas let's slow the harshness down a bit shall we?? :D

i played one of those axes yesterday and all i can say is it felt very comfortable in a way charvel and luxtone guys would appreciate. i could easily use the guitar i played to gig with without batting an eye and i don't say that about many fi-diddles i come across. the tone was open and musical. i was using the two tone sunburst triple single coil one and it spat like a strat through a marshall should, although it got a bit hi frequency microphonic-y feedback at extreme gain settings sitting right next to the steve stevens amp but i could still play around it and manage it and it was alive and FUN!

by contrast i tried out the new two rock amp with a baker guitar and a fano and i was not connecting at all with those, and though i am a strat man through and through, many fenders i try out seem clunky.

peace out guitar brothers--i gotta dip to the ba-ked potahtoe to see the jazz ministry tonight with mike landau--his new fender hot rod deville siggy sounds AWESOME!!!!!!!

want!

I'd rather take some sand paper to a Mexican strat and drag it around my basement floor, Bamm! Instant homemade relic and save 3k.

They have a Telecaster Thinline look to them, and they look "vintage" while still being a new design, which is cool in my book.

The Telecaster has really piqued my interest as of late, but I really would have liked to see a matching headstock.

Here is the best looking Tele (IMHO), but I would have liked a more fitting headstock...

Dave, can you put together a set neck similar to this one? Instead of relicing, his about using a satin finish?

Meh...more of the same thing, no creativity in it in my opinion. Plus I agree reliced guitars are pretty stupid, again just my nobody opinion.
