Not only did they sound great, they PLAYED great! Not one single person who played them didn't dig the living piss out of them. In fact we had a lot of guys trying to buy just the guitar(s) while we where there. You can drag around your mexican strat all you want for the relic'd look/feel. These things had playability! SOLID SOLID neck shapes, killer tone, great feel, awesome components & an awesome attention to detail!

Yeah, they played great. It should come as no surprise. Dave puts out first rate stuff. The amp set up sounded amazing too. They also had some FR wedges there that had grill cloth on them for a cool cab vibe. Heard them at Tone Merchants, just as amazing, and made to sit perfectly for stage use. I see a pair of those in my future

I dunno.

That black tele was setup and played awesome.

Hade wade mcp black belts and sounded killer.

Hoekstra was playing the guitar in the demo room and didn't flub a note for 15 minutes.

I talked to Navarrette and he told me the luthier does not get any pre made necks and bodies like some other builders do but individually fabricates them by hand with a pin router.

I dunno if all that is true but those guitars sure feel nice in the hand and play incredibly well.

I didn't even ask how much the were gonna cost though!

hoekstra is a fukkkking madman...OMFG!  AND don't forget his PHRASING! 15 minutes of no mistakes AND he played in tempo and key.

If the description in the video is correct, that answers who is building the guitars. Avishay Shabat.

You know I've seen his name tagged on some of the Friedman videos and had a suspicion it was him..but I'd never heard his name before. Now we know.

Does he have his own line of guitars?

I played the black Friedman Tele with MCP 2nd Degree BB Pickups at NAMM. Love that guitar...low action, played great, stayed in tune, and sounded awesome!

I handled a few at Namm, but didnt get the chance to play.....grrrr
