Keep us posted on pricing. I'm just curious if it will be $3999 like the rest of his high end models or if there will be an extra Marisol tax added to it
 
On tone talk he was saying 3500 or 4000. He wasn’t sure yet.

It’ll be interesting to see if there’s pushback from dealers, as he’s going direct via ‘custom shop’

At four grand, I don’t think I’m in. 35 I may get on the list. 3k all day long but that’s wishful thinking.
With his reputation though he could probably charge 4500 and sell at least 100 of them. He may not want to make more than 100 so that might be a good spot for him to be at. Probably depends how many of these he wants to make versus normal repairs and mods.
 
I’m pretty sure I remember him saying the amp would be in the $2600 range, but I may be wrong

EDIT: I was wrong, went back and listened and he said $3500-$4000 at the 1 hour 7 minute mark.

Oh LAWD!! This is the ONLY amp that I've even considered buying brand new in a LONG time... $2600-ish??? If that's the case, I'm all in!! If it's in the $3999 range, then I'm probably going to wait for one to show up used somewhere.
 
Find a used Marshall and send that to him for the Jose mod. It will not cost anywhere near $3500. Now I don’t know where in the queue you’ll be with this run upcoming but he’ll get to ya eventually!

I will also add, that when I wanted the Jose and JEL mods done to different amps respectively, he made it a point to say there's no need for a vintage amp. you can get a new or used reissue and just use that as the starting point. So if you want a Jose mod, talk to Dave, he'll set you up. He's an absolute class act and doesn't treat you any differently if you're a rockstar or just some dude in a bedroom like me!

February 24th of this year will be one year since he received my amp for mods.
I got in touch first to make sure he’d accept it because earlier on Tone Talk he was saying to ask first because of the amount of work he had.

I have other amps to play so I’m just trying to be patient. I’m sure it will be super cool!

What’re you having done if you don’t mind me asking? The Jose mod for me took maybe 4-5ish months and the JEL was even quicker. Have you pinged him to check in? JEL mod was last year and Jose the year prior

I did a really nice job building a Metro kit 18 watt Marshall.
Very sterile. MV absolutely sucks.

So I sent gut shots and schematic.

Looking for his MV, gain stage and loop.

He told me he would make it cool!
