Wow, I would have never guessed that was a Frost with 6550's.

I have some old school GE 6550's in my UL and I love those tubes :)

I usually hate 6550 tubes but they sound great in this amp. I had a few Marshalls years ago with the 6550's and I yanked them out fast. To me 6550's sounded very cold and spikey. After trying the Fuchs, I think it has more to do with how the amp is built then the tubes because this amp just rules and it can be very warm sounding!!
Im going to do more clips soon.

To be honest with you, the amp was designed to have 2 gain channels. You can set one channel to have a good clean by keeping the gain down and the master up but you will loose one gain channel and both are really cool IMHO.

The ringing chords in my demo is Channel one with the gain on 1 and the master up. Very Chimey.
Both channels have plenty of gain but not mesa boogie types of gain. Just enough without becomming overkill.

Just a quick description!

Channel one sounds like a really good modded marshall with balls. It has that midrange honk going on and plenty of gain on tap and a killer grind. Fans of modded marshall tones should be very happy with this channel. The amp is very tight and responsive. Channel 2 also has that modded marshall thing happening but it has more of a scoop in the mids and it has more bass and more gain on tap. If channel one doesn’t have enough gain for you then channel 2 should be right up your alley. Like I said ,This amp really wasn’t designed for clean but you can get a cool clean sound if you keep the gain down and the master up.

Is it a MKV? OMG!!!! RALPH HAS A MARK FIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How's the hang time on these things and what ballpark are they in pricewise?

Hangtime is killer along with the feel. Andy did something to the power section that makes the amp react to how hard or soft you dig in. Very hard to describe but it just kills. I'm going to post a review soon.
Im not sure of the price.

You ask this after dealing with 5153 and $$$$$$ speakers.....I almost fell out of my chair!!!!!

Just to be clear though, Fuchs are great amps and I am NOT flaming the pricing model after building my owe pre-amp. Lots of labor for sure and man they sound great.

I have been telling Kage watch out if Ralph really starts applying himself with Terry and it is showing....I would not have heard this type of stuff from you 3 years ago

Now go read your emails :gethim: :D
Disagree, Ralphies been playing like this and stuff just like this as long as I know him Bro...

Look man, You can listen to Ralphie but you can't hear him. There's a difference man. Just because youre listening to him doesn't mean you're hearing him.

:hys: :hys: :hys:
