I don't know man...how can you really get an idea of the tone of an amp after basically four 20 second clips strung together. I mean really.

Come back at us when you've got a Trowerhendrix backing track, and play a blues. You suck.

or not

Sounds sick, Ralphie. Dig the vibe.... ;)

Thanks Steve!

Could you please put up another link to the clip ? The current link won't open for me, even if I disable the pop-up killer.

Thanks.

Giga.

NOW THAT MY FRIENDS IS WHAT YOU CALL TONE!!!

Great Job.

Sounds awesome man!

Hopefully I can post some clips real soon. We had the singer/bass player in town from Bulgeria last week, recorded from Thurs. night to Friday at about 4:00am. I'm supposed to leads and fills tonight, backup vocals Thursday. The singer was supposed to record vocals Sunday pm before he left. This is so weird with everyone so busy and coming and going I hope it all works out OK. We got four songs recorded. I haven't heard the playback yet.

What hardware do you use to capture the files? Sounds real clean. The local music store gave me a Korg D888 to play with. It's pretty easy to use, does eight tracks in wav format, downloads optical or USB. USB to PC seems pretty fast. I gotta decide if I'm going to pay for it or bring it back.

edit: typo!

Thanks Copperhead!

I can tell you from experiance that recording is a pain in the ass lol :D

With that said, I did the whole thing on my PC in Sonar. Its kind of on the low end software wise but it sounds ok and gets the job done lol!!

Hey Giga,

You can go to my soundpage and try it there. I hope it works for you.

Yep, it works now. Is the rhythm part also the Fuchs ?

Definitely not a 13 in a dozen tone but I can't comment on the comparison comments with the Boogie because I have no experience with that amp.

Outstanding playing btw !

The Rhythm, Lead and clean chords in the background are all the Fuchs Frost.

So you're going right to a soundcard? What soundcard do you have? I'm guessing you're mic'ing the amp into a little mixer, then out to the PC?
Sorry for so many questions, I'm trying to set up something decent in my house.

Don't be sorry at all !! I'm still learning this stuff and I don't mind passing along what I have learned!! I used to have a mixer setup but I ditched it when I bought a soundcard that had built in Mic pre's. Teh mixer route became a pain in the ass!!
I have an EMU Soundcard that has midi and Mic preamps built in. I think the model is an 1820m (There are better cards out there BTW!!)
I mic up my Amps in my Condos livingroom with a SM57 and I send that signal to my Soundcard where i boost the level and the signal then goes into my PC's software (Sonar)
I make sure the levels are hot and then hit record!

Wow that was awesome! Definitely had a TNT vibe to it, ha. Nice tone, and tasty note choices for leads, way to go!

Ive listened to this clip 10 different times now... And something stands out every time. The way the mids sound is different... It sounds 800ish but the mids have a slightly different (or unique) character to them.

Am I making sense to anyone besides myself?
