Fuck American Healthcare and Insurance

If you blame republicans for the state of healthcare in this country you need to look a lot deeper. Between the massive amount of illegals receiving free healthcare and the rest of the uninsured in this country now receiving free care thanks to Obamacare, a regular shitty system has become an impossibly corrupt and inept government controlled system. No doubt lobbying by drug companies and insurance companies ( insurance companies are now owned by banks for fuck sakes) have always made healthcare a drag, but government interference has virtually eliminated what used to be considered “ Cadillac” plans.

Both parties actually want single payer healthcare. Which means really shitty insurance for everyone except government employees and the affluent.
 
People love being poisoned by big food and then become HMO slaves. I've been watching countless videos of people throwing out their meds going on a keto or all carnivore diet. It's rough doing that sort of thing. I've been 19:5 fasting for years and it's the best thing I ever did. I'm at the point where if I eat any bad shit, I feel it for 2 days. I suppose either I'm unlhealthy as fuck or so healthy that any inpurity I put in my body, my body revolts because I'm use to eating mostly whole foods.

But this HMO system is fucked. I give them endless shit for stealing $30 at the door. Everyone looks at me like I'm the bad guy. I pay for fucking insurance, that's not enough. FUCKING FUCK FUCKING YOU. I had a receptionist threaten to call security. But everyfuckingbody else is a fucking pacifist that lets the fucking system walk all over them.

I don't go, unless something is hanging off. I haven't gone for 10 years and I injure my finger and need surgery and they want 4k? FUCKING FUCK FUCKING YOU. They should be fucking paying me back for not asking anything of that fucking corrupt system for over 10 years.

People need to step the fuck up and get angry. Little fucking pansy ass wimp americans let the system walk all over them. I mean getting angry personally is not going to do much, but I despise the fucking system and I'm just surprised that when I get like this people act like I'm the fucking bad guy?

I have a state job. Healthcare sucks. It all sucks. Better to just do whatever you can to stay far far away from that system.

Republican nor democrat is going to fix it. That's just the illusion that people are under. That "their guy" is gonna fix it. Nothing is going to fix it except a National financial collapse and rewriting society from a blank slate. Kind of like the constitution, which does nothing for us in regards to getting raked over the coals by Big Food, Big Pharma and HMO's

But, you are exactly correct, the current medical system does not care about making people healthy, they are just concerned with repeat customers.

I used to do the 16:8 fasting and it worked out well with the schedule I had at the time. Not too long before I left Maine to come back to Tennessee, I was doing straight carnivore and felt pretty good. And I started feeling it when I'd eat something that wasn't an actual real, natural food. My mom was diagnosed with non alcohol fatty liver disease, and I basically put her on a very low carb diet and she's sticking to it. She goes back in a month or so to see what her numbers are, so I'll know how well she's been sticking to the diet.
 
I remember when rumors of corporations running the govt were only rumors.
I wish I could find that cartoon; an operating room, patient on the table and surrounded by insurance reps. A doctor coming in ready to perform surgery and an insurance guy says "who let a doctor in here!?"
 
they decline all day long. the doctor has to push for it and appeal.
They declined my MRI. doc pushed for it. I called and gave them a piece of my mind.
3 weeks later it was approved.

FWIW my obama care is working out fine. Its the best thing the idiot ever did.
cost me nothing in premiums. I just had a double hernia and a colonoscopy op this year. $100 each co pay. that's it

office visits usually $35, scripts from nothing to $10 dep on what i need
 
Blue Cross and Blue Shield denied coverage for two eye surgeries I had last year along with some of my follow up appointments. Their excuse was that I had another insurance company that was "primary" and the hospital I went to was not authorized to administer anesthesia. I appealed, enlisted the "help" of the surgeon and my family practice doc and got nowhere. Then I contacted the state ombudsmen and they did nothing either. Ended up with an 18k medical bill that was days away from going to collections. I filled out a financial assistance application with the hospital and they knocked off 1k. A family member gifted me another 1k. Paid off the bill by selling all of my amps (except my PV Vypyr) and my Marshall TV cab and my two favorite guitars: a Jackson RR24 MIJ that I bought from a member on here and my Ritchie Blackmore strat.

It was either that or sell one of my cars or pull it out of savings or let the bill go to collections. Maybe I should've let it go to collections?

Apparently you've never done 15 years in prison cuz thats where your suggestions will land you.
However in principal i agree.
Im speaking from experience cuz i had an agency threaten to take my healthcare and i got sooo gatdamn pissed with folks on the phone
-that i got a "welfare check" by the cops. Yes 3 of the city's finest each packing weapons and about 500 rounds collectively.
We had a "discussion". Probably the only reason i didn't go to jail is cuz my wife was there as a character witness.
It was at that moment i knew i had crossed the line of what can and can't be doing.
Everything worked out but if i were single id prolly still be locked up.

I have some killer health insurance. I don’t even require pre authorization for anything. My issue is my surgeon said no knee replacement till 55, like I mentioned earlier. I never tried to fight them or push it just because they said they are only rated to last 15-20 years. Also they can only do the surgery so many times. Of course physical attributes and lifestyle affect the wear and tear as well. Could that be why they are fighting her on it? Has she tried injections? They really do help. I have some tubes of this topical rub you are more than welcome to. Pm me your address and I’ll send it out asap. I think it’s voltaren maybe. 🤔 it’s specifically for knee pain.

Well I do put up a verbal fight in the office. Anything beyond that the cops come. I do my best to stay away from cops.
 
Everytime I'm in a hospital I notice all the nurses standing around surfing their iphones getting paid 90k a year, then occasionally have to ask if someone needs a blanket....admins that get paid 400k a year to figure out how to charge 900 dollars for a Tylenol pill instead of 700....
Most doctors creep me out these days, they act like slimy used car salesmen most of the time.
It's one of those things where they have an aura of sanctimony so you're not allowed to think they might be using their standing to rob people. It's annoying. :poop:

Yep. The problem is the good pay and bene's have attracted the wrong sort of people into the nursing field. It's a job that is a special calling and the people filling those jobs are only answering the call because the cash pile has grown so large. As someone married to a nurse all I will say is don't put your loved ones into a nursing home unless you absolutely have no other option. The state of those places.....drug addicted employees stealing drugs, sex and drug abuse on the job. theft of personal property, outright abuse....I could go on.

Oh yeah, that is definitely part of it. Also a special job cause if you abscond from your shift you can be prosecuted. Or sued if you goof something up. I'm just saying everyone is into it for the money now, not because they are sympathetic, caring, kind spirits like nurses should be. Also, I don't believe men very much belong in the nursing field though that might upset a few people.
