You're giving credit to a single political party and political system that collectively threw you and the rest of American citizens overboard in 1913, 1963 and 1971, 2001, 2008, 2019 meanwhile the war machine keeps turning.Ultimately I agree with you. I do feel the Dem’s try and at least do something, while the Republicans just wallow in base avarice of attaining power for power’s sake. But at the end of the day we’re under a Corpocracy and too many politicians, if not swayed by money are easily swayed by false economic arguments from conglomerates and Oligarchs about what’s best for the people. Even if one politician is above, even that nonsense, they’ll run into so much obstruction and opposition from within and without, anything they try will be killed or squashed.
Has 22 years of American continuous war against (terror) taught you nothing,8- 9 Trillion spent in Iraq/war on terror while they leave 85 billion of equipment that the US taxpayer will be taxed yet again to replace and so on and so on on and so on?
Meanwhile essentially they both have the same masters serving it while only giving lip service and paltry sums to the masses so they may continue to divide and conquer via, psychological, economic, sociological and biological warfare.
Ask yourself why all European countries get mandatory 6 weeks vacation no matter what age or years of service and a real pension with healthcare at 62. It takes 25 years of service at most employers to attain 5 weeks vacation in America with a 401K, no traditional pension plans any longer in the USA. So what have American citizens gotten for their FORCED benevolence that has allowed other western nations a luxury existence?
