I wouldn't mind a 7 string, I just fucking hate superstrats, and 7 strings are literally always superstrats just like everything is always superstrats 😂

Outside of the Pointy Exploder Build, that one is going to have the most body options I feel. Given exactly why you stated. Probably going to do two builds on that, one with community choices to giveaway and one for me to giveaway to myself. :ROFLMAO: Ormsby does make a few that aren't super strat, so do a few others, but def hard to find, especially color options. Would love an Exploder in a 7 or 8 in cyberpunk dragonburst.

I love ormsby's stuff, and their pink burst V's and X's are freaking sick looking - I would already have one if I had the $$$

Their X shape is one of the best multiscale shapes i've ever played and works really well for a 7 string imo

Their pinkburst is the color I'm referring to when I say Cyberpunk/Dragonburst. None were on the market when I bought mine or I def would have that one. 😻

Is that a baritone scale with the fanned frets? The more a I look at that shape and headstock, the more I like it.

Kinda-ish. Mine is 25.5"-28" or thereabout (I call it my Pterodactyl). Have it tuned to AEADGBE, but can go lower if wanted. They make them in non multiscale version, too.
Love Ormsby. A little pricey compared to the competition, but every one I've played is perfect and not even a gamble to order one, imo.

Yeah, i'm not huge on most modern brands but I absolutely love the ormsby stuff. It feels like they really put some time in on the aesthetics and I appreciate that

The necks and fretwork are stellar, too.
They're pretty strict on the QC and don't put b stocks to market.

Is it possible to use a capo on a fanned fret guitar?

Yes, but it's difficult to find ones that are wide enough. Probably not as much of an issue with the sevens, but once you get to 8+ becomes a problem.
I ended up with an Amazon brand one that just barely works on my 10 string, but suppose you could always use two if needed. Most also seem to be better for rounded necks, and a lot of the multiscales are usually a flatter modern neck carve that cause the capo to not sit slush across the strings.
