Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh DUDE!!!!!!! :rawk:

From one who KNOWS!!! You're gonna shit, dawg - it's sooooooo primo!! :2thumbsup:

Yeah.......both of you guys are responsible - and Rob :cheers2:  :2thumbsup: :2thumbsup:

Played about 6 hours with the 101b yesterday and had been talking to Rob for a few days. Went and listened to a bunch of clips. Then, I got real interested in the 20th. Plus, all the talking up you guys are doing and I don't think I have seen one bad comment anywhere on the 20th.

Gonna be playing a few gigs as a Pearl Jam cover band soon. Figured the XTC will be a great amp to play. Probably it and the Marsha will get racked up. Don't think I will need the TJ or the Cameron for that!

Plus, I am just digging the hell out of Bogner Amplification right now.

Steve

Bogner's got the Benz' sound m'man... Top notch :D

The 20thA loaded with EL34's is a different animal than the stock 6L6 loaded head... Of all the peeps who've had something 'marginal' to say about the 20thA, it's always been in regards to the standard 6L6 20thA. Of the cats blastin' the EL34 version, ZERO issues, ZERO complaints, ZERO regrets...

I can honestly vouch for the fact that this head is (said it before and it DESERVES saying again) a FN masterpiece!!

You're gonna flip, Dawg!! :worship:

Peace, and hey, glad I was part of the "decision making process for ya!!" :D

Awesome head and should fit your band great. The only negative for me was that it doesn't excel at real heavy tones and that's where I spend most of my time so I off'ed mine. You have that covered w/ your other amps so you should be stoked with it.

That compounded interest would be killer! Nah, the CCV stays.

I think as high as the interest would be. It would be well worth it

Believe it or not I ended up with two Bogner 20th XTC's both with EL34's. One I got from Tim and one I traded had for about a year. Whats not to like, the clean channel is crystal clean and warm sounding and can be dialed in like a Fender, The Blue channel for me is where the amp lives and is very uncompressed and vocal, reminds me of a really good old Marshall when cranked. The red channel is high gain and anything over 1 oclock on the gain side is too compressed for me at volume. I pretty much stay on the blue channel and boost it with a Keeley Modded SD-1.

I run my trailer trash board in the loop and it works perfectly. A little DL4 for some delay and I can get just about any tone I want. It is the most versatile channel switching amp I have run across and although a bit dark it is very woody sounding if that makes sense as opposed to the Marshall bright presence and mid range. A good example of the overdrive tone I dial in with this amp is Vai's "For the Love of God" tone. I dig it.

So Brad, if you had to play one amp for the rest of your life on an overdriven setting, which one will you settle on?

Marsha, 20th Ecstasy, PT-100 or SLO?

none of the above. ;) Those are all cool but the vintage ones are the best IMO...

My God! Rig Talk is giving me so much gas. I bought 3 Les Pauls in less than a years time, trade it a JCM800 for another LP
Bought a Diezel Einstein, Bogner cab, at least 12+ pedals, some pickups, you name it...

And now I am interested in another amp, that is why I ask so many questions like these... Its either a PT-100, Bogner or Marsha I know that much! Help appreciated

By the way, Brad I think you, Mark Day and James Lugo should get ALL your gear for free, so that way you can post clips all day long to help us out!

Rob just told me my 20th XTC is finished and is being delivered by Jorg in the morning

Looking forward to this one.....
