I think as high as the interest would be. It would be well worth itsteve_k":fs11dhcw said:gbsmusic":fs11dhcw said:Yes, you'd better get rid of that shit sounding CCV!!!!! That compounded interest would be killer! Nah, the CCV stays.

Believe it or not I ended up with two Bogner 20th XTC's both with EL34's. One I got from Tim and one I traded had for about a year. Whats not to like, the clean channel is crystal clean and warm sounding and can be dialed in like a Fender, The Blue channel for me is where the amp lives and is very uncompressed and vocal, reminds me of a really good old Marshall when cranked. The red channel is high gain and anything over 1 oclock on the gain side is too compressed for me at volume. I pretty much stay on the blue channel and boost it with a Keeley Modded SD-1.
I run my trailer trash board in the loop and it works perfectly. A little DL4 for some delay and I can get just about any tone I want. It is the most versatile channel switching amp I have run across and although a bit dark it is very woody sounding if that makes sense as opposed to the Marshall bright presence and mid range. A good example of the overdrive tone I dial in with this amp is Vai's "For the Love of God" tone. I dig it.

So Brad, if you had to play one amp for the rest of your life on an overdriven setting, which one will you settle on?
Marsha, 20th Ecstasy, PT-100 or SLO?

none of the above. Those are all cool but the vintage ones are the best IMO...
