Gamers: PS3 or Xbox?

Well, I enjoy this thread considering I'm considering picking up a console within the next month or so. Now that I got my hands on a new CPU, I don't need an X360 to play Gears of War or UT3. Sucks for you X360 dudes as the PC port of Gears is extended and has more content.

They're clearly lost at sea, but I can't deny that a $400 combination next generation video game console and movie player will sell like mad before Christmas, especially since the 360 has already seen two Christmasii.

There's no Super Smash Bros. Brawl before Christmas, so it's unlikely that the Wii will outright overtake it.

Well Sony does have other interests involved while Bill is just creating another portal for the MS home. I had a meeting in California 2 weeks ago about IPTV and MS's forecast for the next few years, pretty wacked stuff.

I agree, they should sell better than 360 this xmas due to 360 already having 2 xmas seasons.

Nope. I should get around to that. I'm not 100% if I want to get that or mod it.

Nope. I should get around to that. I'm not 100% if I want to get that or mod it.

Swap Magic is way better. Once you have Swap Magic, download Zoneloader to boot games that Swap Magic won't boot. Swap Magic is the most compatible method for backups on the PS2. The HD method has the most issues and the mod chips are a pain to install, not to mention there are some games that don't work with them. I've yet to run into a game that Swap Magic w/ Zoneloader cannot run.

Oh, one last thing Code, I also do tend to buy used games. Alot of the time, so at this point - it's not really that useful.

Not if you get them for cheap. I generally buy games that I will be playing multiple times. Or online. I can imagine the use of Swap Magic for games that are way too expensive or that I won't be replaying. I do believe in some equality

I'm glad someone does. I'm too cheap to care. I'm still waiting for someone to create CFW on the PS3. DAX might work on it, but I think he's pretty much dedicated only towards the PSP.

CFW? I mean, I'm a pirate...arr but games, I do enjoy buying some. I generally do buy for consoles (if I do, if I'm lazy I generally go the emulation route) mainly unless it's a game I really enjoy and want to play online like Unreal Tournament.

Ah, sorry. It means Custom Firmware. I own shit tons of consoles so I can actually legally emulate them. I prefer emulating everything up to the PSX just because they're more reliable. I really only play my PS2 and PS3. I buy games until I figure out ways to make backups. Then I just backup games. All the UTs from the original to UT2K4 have been able to be played online with a cracked version. I'm hoping UT3 is the same way.

I really only play my PS2 and PS3. I buy games until I figure out ways to make backups. Then I just backup games. Do you make backups or do you just burn ISOs? I knew about Unreal4All about care to explain about this?

I make "backups." Demonoid has a few keys you can use to play online with other people. They work with multiple copies all running online at the same time.

I don't do the PSP thing but I know for the DS, the R4's the way to go

I know of the ROM sites. I'm resourceful. I was big on the emulation scene around the PS1 era.

I'm amazed at the NDS ROM size. I found a torrent with 233 games and it was like 8.3 gigs. That's like the size of 8-12 PSP games! Oh yeah, and the ROMs were all uncompressed.
