Just to clarify: is that a good thing? :D

Noticed this.

Didn't want to call it out.

Either language barrier, overexcitement, or richedieitis.

Jusssssssssst sayin.

It is! sounds evil! I'm sure I will enjoy it! Thanks.

Awesome.....my all time favorite amp.
I am Jealous. :(

Congrats man!!

Thanks bro!! :) it's gonna be a big challenge since I own uber rev2 and TJ.

Wow!! Last couple weeks I've seen 6 or 8 pending orders for the mighty VH4.

Interesting. Kinda like a "back to basics" buzz happening here and with Diezel minded people abroad.

Don't forget, the Hagen's a beast, as is the Herbert. But the VH4 is Diezel signature tone, primary candidate No.1

Peace All,
Uncle Mo

M'Man!! Master of the Pauly Stomp!!

Your response begs the question, if not the VH4, what have you been using?

And yes, 6550s are the biz in these heads (DUCK!!! Papa's throwing stones!!!!!)

6550 SOVTEK power tubes? but they are not recommended tho!!! Peter always recommend KT77 and I believe he is right! I have heard lot of people going crazy about those tubes with the VH4....what so special about them?

Stick with the KT77s, it'll be just fine.

Don't listen to anyone who talks about using =C= SED 6550s in their VH4 amps. Just politely step away. They don't know what they're talking about.

That's what I figured! thanks bro!
I can't wait :) Hope it will sound good with the X PATT Ubercab tho!

  :scared:

Na, he doesn't condone throwing big glass in them, does he. I'm sure he's got solid reasons. But I'll be honest, I'm VERY curious what kinda tone, feel and longevity they yield.

Last time someone put 6550s in their Diezel, Iraq was invaded. Now steve got a 6550 vh4 and they're getting ready for Syria...

So you better be careful with those big bottles!

6550s are righteously ass kicking in the "V". Period.

But disseminating this information under "Papa's roof" also results in a righteous ass kicking by Papa

I warned ya, don't say I didn't :D

I have received my Brand new lovely VH4. This is serious power and tone.
I found the VH4 is extremely tight and dry moreover compressed. The clean channel is the best clean that I have ever heard!!!! for REAL.
It has some serious Bottom end it shreds faces however, I could not get good treble from the 3rd channel dunno why. I digged the Channel 4 better than the 3rd channel though.
Any suggestions?

That's strange. Matter of preference of course, but Ch4 is probably the least used channel on the amp for me.

Clean Channel is amazing. I usually have the bright switch off. Ch2 is probably my favorite channel at the moment, just because it sounds amazing with my overdrive & compression pedal. I have the brightswitch on. Ch3 is one of the greatest crunch channels ever made, period. I can overdrive Ch3 with better clarity & compression than Ch4 on its own.
Neither Ch3 or Ch4 seem to respond very well to my keeley compressor. They're both naturally compressed channels.

I have my amp EQ to pretty much neutral settings. 12 or half 12 on virtually every channel. Similarly with the presence.
I tend to adjust the 'deep' setting depending on what cab i'm using. On some cabs you can crank the deep & it stays pretty tight, on others it can get a bit whoofy.

Have fun with it. Can't see myself ever trading mine in again. Did you get the KT77's?
