Getting my VH4 on tuesday :)

I special ordered mine from Peter, set up with 6550's. Sovtek power tubes (matched from TAD) and straight unlabeled Chinese 12Ax7'c, except for a TAD WA in V1. TAD electrolytic caps and some pixie dust sprinkled in. Peter doesn't like the 6550's so much because they do run a bit hotter than the 34's or 77's. But, IMO, this is the best tone set up from a VH4.

Diezel or Bogner cabs, v30 or k100... you cannot go wrong with either and or all, just different flavours of AWESOMENESS into your ear!
 
My statement of to day about the VH4. I pushed the volume little bit in order to hear the amp, Folks, that shit is beyond the insanity!!! OMG!!

Are you nuts? it turns to a massive weapon destruction! I'm telling ya it's beyond the insanity but it misses little bit of clarity tho. don't you think so?
My VH4 is the new model 2013 :)

Mine was a 2004......was the VH4S...
it freaken KILLED the tow 4x12's I had it paired with....
Cranked it.....and it was tonal bliss.... :rock:
 
lol the new model are better more open and improved.
I run it though a X patt v30s and g12 bogner uberkab. sounds sick shit!! i wanna try the G12K100 tho! or V30s all.
 
If you're losing any clarity, it's the cab, not the amp.

If you're planning on going noon+ on the MV, get the G12K100 loaded 4x12.

No problems.
 
Poor? nah, With all do respect they are the ultimate too. different sounding amp! their juiciness and sags can't be beaten.
The diezel Vh4 is a fucking massive weapon destruction for real...Unbelievable... we should send that amp to Syria!
 
My New statement about the VH4. All what I have to say is OMG!! I tweaked the amp very well and I have gotten some REAL tone, even my Wife told me that the Diezel VH4 is way better lol she was amazed !!

Not sure about the Herbert.
I sold my VH4 to get a Herbert. Loved it.....but not as much as the VH4.
Lot of guys will agree and lot will differ with me on this.
Biggest regret gear wise I made. :doh:
If you can add it to the stable.....go for it! :rock:
 
Yeah man...I tell you what, I'm putting the mater volume 8 o'clock and the channel3 volume at 10 o'clock and it rips like a mother fucker. I can't push more than that otherwise my neighbors gonna call 911 that's for sure. I live in a building six...
 
I just like the voice of the VH4 better then the herbert.
And I play alot of metal.....go figure? :lol: :LOL:
