Which cab and speakers you using?

I am using two Randall Lynch box 4x12's that have eminence Super V's in them...
really deep lush sounding.
I had one can with V30's in it.....sounded sorta brittle.
Really satisfied with these cabs. Every amp I plug them into...Nice deep ripping tone.

Poor? nah, With all do respect they are the ultimate too. different sounding amp! their juiciness and sags can't be beaten.
The diezel Vh4 is a fucking massive weapon destruction for real...Unbelievable... we should send that amp to Syria!

My New statement about the VH4. All what I have to say is OMG!! I tweaked the amp very well and I have gotten some REAL tone, even my Wife told me that the Diezel VH4 is way better lol she was amazed !!

Not knocking the Uber by any means... It's just well.. There aren't too many amps that can go toe to toe with the VH4 and still get the power switch on much afterwards.

For recording or live?

For live, V30 FL 4x12.
For recording, G12K100 FL 4x12.

Honestly, You can't go wrong with either, but I like the neutrality of the G12K100 cab over the V30 cabs. I've had em both. G12K just let's the Diezel tone shine... IMHO, YMMV.

I personally don't recommend mixing the speakers. V30's are what Papa used while tuning the circuit and sound killer live. I will agree with V that K100's sound really good recorded. I tend to use those while tracking, but they sound too sterile for me in a live setting. V30's can sound really great recorded too, but require a little more effort than k100s imo.

Yes, the vh4 is something special indeed. I demo'd mine for a guy a couple of months ago. It was his first time hearing a Diezel and we both instantly needed to change our pants. I hadn't cranked mine up to noon on the master in quite some time... That amp is pure tonal bliss.

Yeah. Hopefully I will get either a Bogner with all V30s or a Mesa traditional cab.
Well, I can't Crank the volume because I live in a building. If I do, I'm sure that the building will collapse for real.
My next amp will be a Herbert.

Ya gotta get that thing somehow up to gig volume. There is nothing like standing right in front of my VH4 3/4 stack and feeling my bones vibrate !
