Great to hear.

Be interesting to compare old vs new at the same settings, to hear differences; and dial them in to sound the same/similar.

I was tickled shit pink to see you on the SW video, Kyle.

As for Mr. White, don't you ever think of moving away from the POD Pro into a Tube Power Amp!!! We will destroy the world.

Hi Kyle,

I’m a big fan of your channel! You do amazing videos, and I really enjoy the humor you bring to them—it makes the content even more engaging.

It’s awesome to see that you’re taking on this comparison. I have a DRGX that I’ll be comparing to my re-issue, which is supposed to arrive tomorrow, so I’m really looking forward to seeing how the two amps stack up.

That said, I have a question. If Gibson wanted this exact type of comparison and it was clearly their goal, why didn’t they just do it themselves? Instead, they released bizarre videos that completely missed the mark. Why didn’t they include any metal or hard rock content? It doesn’t add up, and frankly, it feels like a massive missed opportunity on their part.

Lastly, springing a Mark IIC+ on you guys out of nowhere—and then not letting you fine-tune it—was a terrible move. I can’t see how that benefits anyone. Very strange choices being made here.

Looking forward to your thoughts and the video!

Absolutely stoked for you to be doing the comparisons both blind and unblind.

However you go about it, can you also comment on the noise floor/stability between new and old? I’m wondering if the reissue is more noisy given it’s a new PCB design.

I’m not sure- but he told me they were drgx- he might’ve been mistaken
Seems like he said drgx once and hrg the other time

I mentioned this in the FB thread but I'll say it here as well..

"We are supremely confident in these new amps, and we welcome anyone to try a direct comparison to an original"

Give them my number too! haha I'll do a reamped full mix demo of high gain songs the day after I get my hands on one. I had one on the way yesterday from GC, then mysteriously they no longer had one in stock...

I think you guys think these companies are A LOT more nefarious, and overall, COMPETENT than they actually are. Haha

If you got a peak behind the curtain at the stuff I get to see from most of these companies, I think a lot of the myths and mystery behind these companies would quickly die.
As a business owner, this checks out. You guys give them way too much credit.
