I'm down to ten hens and a cock. That usually keeps me in eggs without having too steep of a feed bill. I've thought about mixing in a game cock with those hens but my incubator took a shit. I have had good luck ordering from Meyers but still it's a lotta messing around raising those little rascals and I'm not sure what breed to get next time. I had thought about one of the rare or endangered breeds and maybe make a few bucks raising chicks to pullets.

I don't rob honest people, LOL. I knew a pot dealer in Austin who someone clocked over the head down at the quad for his cash and his stash about five years ago. Murder still unsolved. Dude def didn't deserve it but goes to show you how crazy some people are over a grand or two.

We have 16 hens and Joe. He is too big to be with the main girls, as he rips them to shit regardless of the state of his spurs. He is seriously massive, at least a true 9-10 lb cock. He is just too much for those sweet ladies.

He does get one from time to time, as a gesture of goodwill.

We usually get them as pullets, as my life is stressful enough and I sex enough things...and don't want to cull tiny cockerels, it's a bummer.
