Looks like Reign in Cherry Blossom wins.
Will come up with something lovely.
Pickups? Tried my best to ask y'all thoughts on what you would like to see with little response.
I have my favs, but would really like some input on what y'all would like to see.
That said, perhaps we should start with the basics?
Active or Passive?
Choose wisely, cannot change your vote.

Not one suggestion on pickups?
If y'all leave the options solely up to me in the next poll you may or may not like the choices.
Just saying. 🤷‍♀️

Jim Wagner? Maybe some old Mighty Mites? Maybe something made by @scottosan if someone has it on hand?

Or just go Lundgrem M6! I was always curious to try those.

I have been very pleased with Planet Tone pickups. That being said, i recall you were going to try to do a deal for some specific make. Was it Seymour Duncan?

Seymour Duncan or EMG will cut me a deal buying direct.
So, that's the plan.
Sorry, should have highlighted that again, just figured those voting have been paying attention :ROFLMAO:

Black Winters. But those have already been mentioned in poll thread.
Addendum: If actives win, the SD Jeff Loomis and Gus G sets seem interesting. The EMG RetroActives seem to get good reviews for not being too active-y as well from what I can recall.

Yes, if no one cared to have input that's what I would be putting in pretty much any guitar if I just had one choice.
Personally love the Nazgul, but just a tad less universal and a bit more brutal.
If we end up going passive so far on my personal list would be BWs, Nazgul/Sentient, Pegasus/Sentient, Jupiters, Alpha/Omega, Trash Factors.
Though, I've only ever tried the Nazgul and Thrash Factors with a FR.
Actually not even sure if they make the latter anymore.
Just a hotter J/59, anyways iirc.

Gonna go out on a limb and guess that actives aren't going to win at the current 3:1

I recommended 57/66 for the EMG set before. As far as SD passives...hm.... a lot to choose from there. I do not have much experience with SD pickups overall, so I'd lean on others there. EDIT: I actually forgot I had a guitar with the Nazgul/Sentient combo and it was slammin sounding.

I think the Jupiter set would be a lot of fun in that guitar, and if I had my druthers, I'd really like series/parallel or series/split/parallel switches for each pickup.

I am fine with any emg. I had an 81/85 that i loved.

As far as passives, this is a metal guitar. So i think the pickups need to be brutal. M6 is a good one i would love to try. Nazgul or black winter are two i never tried

I don’t remember last time I played an active…

One that I have obtained a few guitars with are the Fishman Moderns and was apprehensive at first, but what I've learned about them is that their lack of character allows the rest of the signal chain to do it's thing. So they're boring and sterile, but also predictable in a good way. My least fav are going to be blackouts. Though a member recently posted them with an 18v mod and sounded a lot better. A few EMG sets I've yet to try. Seems this is heading into passive territory, anyways. You happen to take a look at the bottom of that bridge pickup in the v220, yet? It's a circa 1990 MJ spun Jazz.
