Great...sounds like it will fit in well with the SL2B, EG5 and HBE. I'd be interested to hear comparisons to these.

I spent half a day A/Bing the HBE and Gnr,same tubes same amp same guitar etc.The HBE seemed a little darker and smoother,the GnR has more definition,snarl,articulation,sounds very UNEGNATER in a great way,if I had to chose one for THE Marshall position,the Gnr would take it.Mind you I chose the HBE over the Stock SL2 and these are both great sounding modules.I really need to dedicate some funds to recording because this trying to describe tones shit sucks Anyway the GnR is really a great addition to the arsenal.

For the record I havent been gushing about any of the recently fashionable mods and yes I did play them.

This is a different deal altogether. GnR is better than all of the other "Marshally" mods I have heard.

Take that for what its worth.

Honestly Matt, when you and Nick both agreed and sent your SL2's in, that did it for me too! Since I know you guys haven't really bought into the various mods and such...........it clinched it for me and boy am I glad it did. What a great sounding module.

Just fired it up and played for a good half hour. WOW. Just as good as I remember when trying out erics.

There is a complexity and clarity to the midrange that is incredible. The clarity holds up SO well under saturation, even with big complex chords.
