Who opposed the civil rights act ? Revisionist history much ? Same folks that started the KKK.

And it's pretty clear. Every major urban center with large populations of black people are run by democrats.

I know you guys like to pretend republicans are all nazis and racists, when the fact is democrats are the ones who have kept black people poor and "Voting democrat" for over 5 decades now. Democrats started the KKK. You can make all the Dixiecrat claims you want but it wasn't really that long ago Al Gore Sr. voted against the Civil Rights Act.

The man at least had the balls to publicly renounce his upbringing and condemn it at a time when there was no public demand for him to do so. Under no threat of “cancel culture”.

Brining up a dinosaur like Byrd does nothing to change the fact that MAGA culture is attractive and endorsed by the CURRENT KKK.

You’re pointing your finger at idiots who are not elected by nor do they represent the majority or anywhere close to a majority of the conservatives in this country or the people who voted against Hillary ( Byrd’s acolyte) Clinton and Joe Biden. Byrd was elected over and over again. In fact he died in office at 92.

At any rate, you are again employing revisionist history. Not only did Byrd filibuster the civil rights act, he opposed gays in the military and gay marriage. Saying it was a time he didn’t need to renounce it is complete bullshit. You couldn’t get elected as an ex Klan dragon and open racist and homophobe in this country in 1990.

Maybe because the alternative attacks the very culture and values that built the US? You don't have to support the KKK to at least support the retention of your own value system and culture. What sort of weirdo would support ceding control to minorities who hate you.

You can’t blame Trump or anyone who voted for him for the KKK or any other racist assholes. None of us sanctioned that shit. You also don’t get a pass for all the ghettos across this country democrats created.
 
If you want to talk about Byrds in American history...how about Admiral Richard Byrd and his expeditions to..and within..Antartica...quite the stories, very interesting documented stuff....
