Maybe if banning feels too tough for Thump...
I suggest a week suspension for some antagonizers (to see if it calms them) and moving the dumb OT threads to OT (including the threads that begin on topic but turn into garbage)
It's not like HC here yet and it seems everybody doesn't want it to be like HC. I'd like to see moderation step in here, but never as heavy as the Gear Page...obviously.

I don't think the place has gone down the shitter, but I think a couple shitheads are trying their best to ruin it for everyone. I have NO idea why the flame wars seem to come down to "I can play better than you" Dick size contests, other than the fact that Carl seems to tell everyone they suck at playing just to get under their skin but it's retarded 3rd grade bullshit from all parties involved.
I avoid the flame wars, because it always comes down to the same thing, and is started by the same two moronic dipshits that have nothing to add to the forum.
I'm tired of the antics. I'm not going anywhere though because this is a good forum with a lot of great guys in it. I'm not sure what the solution is, but I know and trust the guys running the place, and I trust the decisions they'll be making.

sorry...i just gotta throw this out there...all this "this place is bullshit, i wanna leave" kinda makes me laugh for a couple reasons...
1) the whole reason this place was conceived was too much moderation that a "few" didn't like. those "few" got dissed at hc by many as being complainers and whiners...those "few" made up this place and now more and more migrate over and they like it. now there's a "few" complainers and whiners again because of not enough moderation...are you kidding me? we all sit and talk about how we shouldn't take the internet so serious yet all you guys are taking it waaaay too serious.
2) this place is faaaaaaaar from becoming hc. let's not forget that the amp forum over there is just a small piece of the corporate bullshit pie they got going on. plus, this forum is nowhere near as fuked as hcaf...remember when the ot fuks would come in on the weekend and try and "takeover"? constant flameorgies and misinformation...this place is way better than that.
3) nothing has happened here that we all ain't seen before. it's never gonna stop. it's cyclic. just let it go. don't worry about it and keep droppin' by. it goes up, it goes down, whatever. shit can't be good all the time. this place would be boring as fuk without a little flameage now and then...at least, we know who the instigators are and they're totally handleable. so what if we gotta check 'em every once in awhile? you wouldn't need moderators if there was nothing to moderate...yet we do have moderators.
i thought bob did a pretty good job squashin' it. rock on bob. all of you that wanna leave should just hang for a bit, have a couple puffs and calm down...it'll get better, and worse, and better...etc.

i agree with some of what your saying, but this place was made to talk about gear, not have flame wars every fucking second, like harmony central. And if we do take it serious, its because this is a great place to chill out after a shit day, and we don't need people ruining it with personal attacks and flame wars.

Kage, you know well enough that Carl is going to resort back to the mental capacity of a 15 year old every time, regardless of how many clips he posts. And last time i checked several guys post clips yet nobody lowers themselves to the level that Carl does. How many 50 year olds do you know who throw shit on other players like him? In fact, most 17 year old's carry themselves with more maturity than he does and you would think that the dick waving contest would have worn off past 25, guess not in his case.
As long as he's around on this board there's going to be flamefest's. I don't want him banned though, i enjoy watching him make an ass of himself on a regular basis.
