The low end is defnitely tighter and less SLO rounded.........Dare I say the amp is a bit more aggressive/raw Marshally now......:cheers:

Aggresive jah Marshall-y nah.
Sounds like they turned an SLO 100 into a Dual Rec.
Was this a Friedman / BAD / SLO ?

It doesn’t sound like a Marshall at all. Initially, I increased the preamp filtering and it does get more Marshall-like. The secret of an SLO is the low preamp filtering. I reduced it quite a bit and all the SLO harmonic content came back. It’s like a tighter SLO, not a recto or Marshall. My biggest gripe with the stock SLO is the flubby low end.

A recto has zero NFB (on red channel) which makes a huge difference.

This is a BAD SLO. Great builds. Improved loop and they just sound amazing.

I also add a PULL SAT on treble pot, and a PULL GAIN CUT on bass pot. Bass pulled is probably my favorite sound.

On the back I add a 3 way depth frequency switch and a NFB control in the original line out holes. Zero holes drilled and fully reversible with this mod.
