saw Polyphia live last September. Took that pic. I was in front.
Great show!
This place is full of devoted hard rock/metal/shred fans but we were all kids at one time and there were songs we liked as children that were not metal/shred or even on that radar screen. And the good ones stand the test of time.
My sister had this album. I had a crush on Stevie. But Lindsey was sneaky good.
Blackhawk is one of the best from the 90s, so many good tunes from those guys.

A couple guilty pleasure spins!
I keep the crate downstairs with a handful to listen to. I have crates plural upstairs so I can swap out different albums to keep with phono.
yes, late '70s punk / '80s new wave is one of my fav genres...if you haven't found the YT channel 80zforever, it's worth a look. He collects obscure, indie, regional bands from around the world, it's a gold mine on top of the more successful bands of the genre.Kill Mother Fucking Depeche Mode, SKOLD, NIN, Rammstein, Mindless Self Indulgence, Atari Teenage Riot, Combichrist, Hanzel und Gretyl, Genitorturers, Prodigy, Marylin Manson, Perturbator, Ministry, Gary Numan, Night Club, more EDM than not, and everyone's fav Limp Bizkit.

When I was young, probably around 1979/80 my father bought me a record player, all plastic, made to look like a jukebox. Lit up and everything. He also bought me two 45’s…Freeze Frame.

I was seven in 1980, and just starting to really take notice of pop music. The radio was on 24/7 at my house. JGB stood out, along with Bowie and new wave was starting to stick - nevertheless the less I’m 52 this year and some of those songs are timeless now. I can’t do metal. It’s just not that interesting to me.When I was young, probably around 1979/80 my father bought me a record player, all plastic, made to look like a jukebox. Lit up and everything. Centerfold/Freeze Frame was one of them.
