My favorite is when these clowns finally expose themselves, like that Wizard of Ozz guy and his infamous Suhr PT100 video lmao

Hahaha what happened with this situation?

I don't think I ever saw it, but The Tone Dig was my favorite - I still have his stirring rendition of Paradise City

I still to this day use it as an example to my students of bad vibrato, not keeping time, slurring notes instead of playing them clearly, and trying to cover up your bad playing with assloads of delay and verb

There’s no way the person on that recording had not ingested copious amounts of narcotics :hys:

I will be honest, I felt bad about Tone Dig because it did seem like he tried so hard, and got so far. But ultimately in the end, it didn't even matter. His heart was in a good place.

I'm fine with no clips if the person isn't trying to argue something stupid, or lording their knowledge over everyone else

You're only allowed to be super opinionated and brusque if you have the skills to back it up

Otherwise your opinion isn't really worth anything, you know?

I have a very strong no opinion on this comment :ROFLMAO:

Chris Impellitteri is one of my main idols. Maybe the tone I chase will make more sense referencing this old vid.

There’s nothing wrong with effects if they bring the vibe you need to make good music.

Probably one of the most underrated guitarists out there for sure!

I freaking love Impelliteri.

Especially his stuff with Bonnet

He's just one of those dudes that supposedly has all this unobtanium high dollar gear (I believe "I've owned over 50 Marshalls" was a direct quote) and always shits on everyone else's opinions....then one day he got a Suhr PT100 and actually posted a vid of himself playing through it and dude was struggling to play the most basic ass barre chord shit

Pretty sure he quickly deleted it afterwards

I don't mind if someone isn't the greatest player on earth or whatever and has nice gear - someone has to keep the amp makers in business, and it generally isn't the actual musicians like me

the "shitting on everyone else's opinions" is the key part here that grinds my gears

IDK what it is about forums in general, but lots of those riff hobbyists need to slow their roll REAL hard :ROFLMAO:

That guy was a douche. I dont mind someone having bad clips. Not all of us are musicians, but i agree on the experts that cant fucking play.

Is that the same dude that said 20W amps are all everyone needs and that they sounded as big or bigger than 100W+ amps?
