Suhr & Charvel custom shop (and Anderson, Grosch, Tyler, etc, etc) are simply different shades of great...pick your poison. FWIW, I always preferred Anderson over Suhr based on the limited number of Suhrs that I had played. I recently took a gamble on a Suhr because it had the specs that I was considering for a custom order Anderson at about 1/2 the price of ordering new. I can comfortably say that this particular Suhr is every bit as wonderful as my beloved Andersons. Finding a guitar that speaks to you (regardless of brand) is a great thing...as players we're lucky that there are currently so many high-quality brands out there to choose from (unlike when I started playing).

saw a YT video the the other day and he said contrary to rumor there is no GG model in the works and that he has no endorsement with Charvel. The one he's been playing the last few months is a prototype and said he loves it.

Seems to me the Govan/Charvel threads are started by the Charvel fan bois who hate on Suhrs. Also, the average Suhr costs well under 4k. You wouldn't know that from this thread because the "Charvel" guys are the ones throwing out that price tag. Seems the butt-hurt lives in the Charvel camp. Get back to practicing guys.

You don't read very well do ya? I started this thread and I own and love both Suhrs and Charvels, so I'd say you're dead wrong...

I was referring to other threads I've seen on this topic as well. So I should have chosen my words more wisely here. Still, this one quickly became a Charvel/Suhr thing. It's just stupid. You would also think some would be a bit more respectful to a guy like John Suhr on this forum.
