A Schmidt? Nah, I need a Herbert....

BTW, I got on a vintage Marshall kick. Man, it is a buyers market on ebay. Got the following on the way...

1981 JCM 800 Master with vertical inputs
1978 JMP Super Bass (to complete my Adam Jones rig along with my VH4  )
1976 JMP MKII 4 input

All were less than $1000 US each...

Now, just to get them to Saudi safely

Steve
Holy shit, dude. I LOVE JMP Super Bass amps. My favorite Marshall. :D

What will the Schmidt be? A Combo or Top? How many channels and what kind of channels?

I'm game. :)

Just a suggestion: Maybe a Schmidt or a Hagen would be good, as (almost) no one has had the pleasure of playing thru them. Maybe a 2x12 would be good too - can't have enough cabs, right?

I'm in but not for a columbus  . I have a einstein there for what good does it make me  . Columbus is very unfair to most einstein people and maybe people that are in the forum that don't have a diezel yet.

Let's do this thing

Whats up guys. Shouldn`t we go the whole hog?

Here is the deal: MDP 50 Euro or an accordant amount in other currencies on a Diezel account and we go for a Schmidt. If we don`t get together the whole amount, the cash goes to a good cause .
Something like that. The only thing we need is a Diezel account we can deposit the money into.

Count me in
What about setting up a Paypal account or something by a trusted forum authority (Peter, Olaf or Terry)?

As long as enough money is covered in order to have the chosen product make sense, I am fine with it. If not, I don't see the point. Let me think on how we could do something easily process wise that makes sense and is fair for everybody.

Well, going by the price list the Schmidt is 3.999 USD, which is around 3.120.- Euros. If everyone gives 50.- Euros...damn, that's roughly 63 people...

Generally I would interested in such a contest but 50€ per Person would be to much for me at the moment. :aww:

yeah, it's too much. But again, we can invite more ppl :D lets make this a general Rig-Talk contest.......

3,120 Euros --> 20 Euros per person
150 Person.

:D

or even better..... is it too much hassle to build a "prototype of some sort? Ask Olaf if he could help build it....

a one channel or two channel "schimdt" proto...... that should take more than a couple of months right?

and it'll cost WAAAY less than a Schmidt.

BTW guys, we can always go for an Einstein! it's 1,700 Euros....... or so. If an Einstein owner ALREADY wins it, can sell it or keep it.

sounds AWESOME , great idea joey!

I´M IN

i think a cab would be the coolest
